Here is how i catch those damm thieves(all modes):
-first i hurry the black knight near the chest with any well trained character.
-by going up i usually kill 1 thief and the other usually open the chest and then get killed by either the black knight or by another char.(wat help is the pretty high hit ratio of the black knight even when he on the lower part.)
And hes important to bring if u wanna have lehran later.
and then i usually exp abuse with a stoned priest.
whats this boss abuse? as much as i try its hard to get the dawn brigade anywhere in unison, i always drop 2 or 3 of them to focus training on the others that don't fail me, and this chapter on its own is hard, once on normal i came here and almost everyone had very bad chances of hitting enemies for no reason
@Animerulez92 I'm not even sure if you need info now, but I'll leave it here anyway. Boss abuse is when you use the boss to level your characters. For example: in the prison chapter, the boss has a Storm Sword. What I do is choose one unit to corner him that does not deal much damage. I won't attack with said unit (espcially if it's Fiona~) and let the boss attack before healing after each enemy phase. Sure it's tedious, but it's worth it. Watch out for the crit rate though
Which difficulty are you on? Best thing to do is use bonus exp to hax leveling on your favourite chracters after they have maxed out a stat. You're guaranteed 3 stat gain even if they have 5 stats already maxed out, so go crazy on it.
If none of the characters suit your fancy, feel free to save it and use it up before endgame.
Give pass and +2 move to Nailah and run her up the gaps (change to wolf at end of turn 1). She will reach the 1st thief right after he spawns and will kill the 2nd one on the next turn - before they even come close to stealing. A few units will suicide into Nailah. Obviously don't attack anything with her and try to glare/turn to stone any melee units that she ends up next to. After the thieves are dead get Nailah out of there not to waste experience. And yes, this is on hard mode.
A VERY easy way of doing this is disarming the black knight and put him in middle of the field all enemys will come at him just to do no damange and if they do BK will heal with his imbue i never use him to fight because he takes all EXP the only thing he has jet to learn is to raise his lance lvl.
With Nailah, only about 2-3 enemies will suicide into you (not counting thieves) if glare fails. It's the safest and most reliable way though imo. If you have Vulneraries to spare then don't change Nailah into wolf until she gets to the thieves and no one will suicide into her.
Why would I not use Nailah endgame? Using her, along with the other Royals, allows me to 1 turn 4-E-3 and 4-E-4 and 2 turn 4-E-5. And plus, every single Dawn Brigade chapter can be done with one strong unit. There is almost always at least one unit you'll be able to abuse to get by.
And besides, you can't really lecture about Exp being important when you clearly boss abuse like crazy.
Nailah with pass while rescuing Micaiah is the most efficient way to beat this level.
Laura is easy. On my last hard mode run, she was level 20 Saint before the end of part one. Just staff abuse. Aran is a bit more tricky. Try to kill every lagus in beast mode to get extra exp. That is the best time to level him up. After that, try to get a few kills on 1-6-1 and 1-6-2. Feed him with bexp if needed before this mission and give him a master seal at level 20.0
I now always turn off the cinematic animations but I keep the game on normal speed (unless I have to restart half a dozen times at which point normal speed is unbearably slow) and leave map animations on. I like the game to feel at least somewhat like it was intended to be =P.

Any particular reason you didnt use the BK? I mean, I know that he eats xp and all, but you don't really need xp that bad

good idea then they can break their weapons and have some good enemy grinding

Does the strategy require that you gotta have overleveled units like that gotten through boss abuse/other forms of abuse? >.>
I'd rather just give someone (Like Nailah) pass and slaughter the thieves. >.>
PrinceOfKoopas 3 years ago
If you use Nailah, you might lose precious exp. Exp is important in hardmode. Not get enough, and your characters will suffer.
Unless, you want to use Naliah endgame
TrulyStupidNewb 3 years ago
Unless you don't use the Dawn Brigade at all except for when you have to, but the good Black Knight is there to save your ass. Or partner units.
Or beastfoe.
PrinceOfKoopas 3 years ago
Actually, I have done this chapter on hard mode.
Nailah only ends up killing about three units besides the thieves. A lot of people on the second floor carry ranged weapons.
Since a lot of people aren't going to be over-levelled like your characters, Nailah-pass is the best strategy.
