hey, man , thanks! Yesterday they gave me a bike with these ones and all I could do was turnin´ down the little switches, but never found how to reverse the process. The whole day travellin´ through Madrid with the smaller plate and the smaller of- the-ones-in- the-rear-place (don´t know the name in English) A comfortable combination, however if you use strong legs.
Today is holyday in Spain, so I can´t get into a shop to ask. Just wrote in Google "shimano Sora" and here is your video. Thanks.
They work for me just fine. I have an entry level road bike, so these shifters do the job. When I can justify spending the extra cash -- that is, by actually getting fast -- then I might consider moving up. Until then, the extra smoothness isn't necessary.
@976doddy having said all these, why cant shimano just use their dual control lever on sora. what difference does it make to just manufacture sora like that!?
@976doddy How the heck can you upshift while sprinting in the drops?? ... you just can't with sora... So you probably had to start sprinting in a higher gear = not efficient.
Shimano Sora is the bottom of the Shimano line, so you aren't missing anything. 105, Ultegra and Dura-Ace are much better ; better brakes, more gears, faster and better shifting, lighter weight, better looks, greater durability. If you want Sora-style shifting but with more gears and all the above mentioned criteria, go Campagnolo.
Not too impressed with the Ultegra. After only 2000 miles, I'm replacing my stupid brake/shift lever. At this point, I'd go back to Campy except that I just bought a 500 dollar wheelset that uses Shimano. I am not at all impressed with Shimano reliability. I've had Campy on my Cannondale for the last decade, and I've never had a problem after 10s of thousands of miles.

Incorrect. 2200 is at the bottom.
