(played in Eindhoven in the 80ties an entrance-gig for The Ulmer, himselfs. We drunk a lot waiting in those days, and he liked the 'Bedtime for Bonzo'-girls but the black and most beautifull one was mine, sorry james, sche's in heaven now.
James Blood Ulmer equal Absolutismoments of my live.
The music is just pouring out here. Masters of their instruments all, so open to each other and of the moment. Must have been a thrill and a gas for them too. Thanks for posting this rarity.
Wow! I was in the audience at this gig. They also played a few times at Sweet Basil. Blood is TOTALLY swinging in this setting, in his own unique way. This was by far my favorite context for Blood, but to my knowledge they never recorded together. Thanks for putting up this video. Brings back great memories!
Oh my god!!! James Blood Ulmer with this band is like something I dream about seeing. Absolutely transcendent level of musicianship all around. These cats are masters!!!
just found out about this guy checking some old posters from captain beefheart concerts they shared a show once ,i read his name on the list and blam , i found an awesome band well connected salud!!
James stopped, or kind of did, doing the harmolodics stuff after a while. I still love him, but prefer the harmolodics, paricularly Black Rock era w/ Amin Ali. This is great!
