i mean no dis respect to the author but why would someone who uses a program like fruity loops, lets say, which is only about 200mb switch to this gargantuan program??? just the instruments alone that come with fl not to mention the unlimited number or vst's u can add, could make it sound as optimal as yours do.....thanks for the feedback.!!!!
but i have a question tho..how do i play all those parts when i make them,in 1 midi channel in cubase???all 8 parts of stylus rout in 1 midi channel so i can play my custom loop....s.o.s
i never understood this vst! 95% of this tutorial is running through knobs and plugin settings and different gui pages, and you have no view over the loops or their position or anything, you just have to run through the gui and tweak settings and replay it to hear what its going to sound like.... stupid lol
Its really not that hard people.... Use your ears. If you dont see how amazing this is, well no one can show you... you have to get to the point in your SKILL in music production to understand... Trust me THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THIS... its F#$%ing amazing. Point blank. ....if all you use is reason, well ill hold my breath. It CAN be used by begginers... But also is a PRO application. Very DEEP. so you have to learn a little..uh oh! lol.
Reason is great! Stylus RMX's strength is it's ability to play multiple REX loops quickly, and also its ability modify loops easily. In Reason, you have to load eight Dr Rex, and then load a loop into each and send their MIDI data to their tracks. With Stylus RMX, you can achieve the same thing, with more flexibility a lot faster.
What makes this so great?? Well first off its a plugin so you use it with a REAL DAW, not like reason where you cant use external plug-ins or record audio.
I used to use reason, until I realized how limiting it is. Get Logic
No its not, I am familiar with Record. That is a separate program that is just like reason, but allows you to actually record audio. Record is like garage band, its for beginners to audio editing and recording. You cant use 3rd party plug-ins with record either, only propellerheads effects.. not smart of them.
The wave view (shown in light blue in the video) is from the program ReCycle - and it's not linked to Stylus RMX - it's just a screenshot that I applied some highlights to in order to illustrate what was happening. Unfortunately, there is no waveform view in Stylus RMX - but I'd have to guess that it'll be in RMX 2!
Hey, can you please tell me which rmx stylus version is the latest as of now? Thanks

Yeah - it would be helpful if Spectrasonics would add a visual overview of the loop - like Reason's Dr. Rex.

@NineVoltAudio @NineVoltAudio Is Recycle 'doing what ever you have to do to the loops' before you put them in Stylus?
