The 26,000 years number you mentioned is how long it takes for the Earth to complete one precession about its axis. (one "wobble" if you imagine the Earth as a spinning top)

I can debunk a few of these debunks.. Yes the Mayan calendar ends and starts again every cycle. However the Mayan long count calendar goes through 6 phases. We are finishing the final phase an does not start over.. Next, the galactic alignment does happen every year. However in 2012 the earth aligns with the CENTER OR DARK RIFT. This does not happen every year. Next, if nibiru is a brown dwarf then you won't be able to see it until it is VERY CLOSE.

@willmikes Tyche at this point is only a theoretical planet proposed to explain what appears to be extra comets getting knocked out of orbit from a certain area out in space. It is probably some statistical fluke in the data, but who knows, maybe it is out there. That would be really interesting. It's too far away to be worrisome in regards to 2012. And the brown dwarf pictures, even if they were pictures of an object, how could you know it was dangerous? Unlikely based on what scientists know.

It's not terribly difficult to do the math to calculate the gravitational forces (using measurements from scientific publications - not popular science) to check the effects of alignments. The astronomy magazine was just a nice illustration. The government does keep information from the public, but it does not censor everything. I'm not worried about 2012 and won't be unless I see some concrete evidence.

Even if it was coming in remarkably fast, say 100 km per second on average over the next 2.5 years, it would be 7.9 billion kilometers away right now. In this extreme situation it would still be much brighter than Pluto. If there were an object like a brown dwarf going to hit in 2012 it wouldn't likely be going that fast and would have to be much closer. Plus, there is no hint of gravitational influence by it.

Your debunking of the brown dwarf is an epic fail. You should take some physics courses, study some refutable astronomy sources besides discovery channel/history channel, do more research other than wikipedia, and then come back to make an intelligent argument about this. A brown dwarf would only need to be 10 times more massive than Jupiter. Jupiter is about 5 AU away from the sun. Research the actual math behind the concept of flux; you do a disservice to yourself by not being informed.

i would like to add to your some facts. Our sun crossed the galactic centre almost 3 mllion year ago. The sun is aprox 65 light years above galactic equator. We will stay in the northern area of our galaxy for aprox 32 million years, then we will cross again the galactic plane towards the southern region. The sun has a cycle of aprox 64 million years and we cross the galactic centre every 32 million years, A complete rotation cycle of the sun around our galaxy will take aprox 255 million years.

Why wouldn't images of it by amateur astronomers be available? Nibiru should be pretty bright by now if it were heading into the inner solar system.

If it was any icy object like Pluto it would be easy to see because it would have a bright tail (like a comet) and if it was the size of Earth it would be big enough to see with even the smallest of amateur telescopes. Someone other than NASA would have noticed it by now.
