Cullen is the best attacking fullback ever. He had excellent acceleration and speed, he ran perfect lines and he had a step in which he barely lost any speed when performing it. He scored 46 tries for the All Blacks and played his last test at the very young age of 26.

Cullen is definately NZ's best ever fullback and inspired many. Speed, power, vision, passing, defence and kicking he was complete. But then just before John Mitchell was made coach he began to look bigger and slower, his attacking turned into kicking bombs. Although still dangerous he wasnt the same in attack. Mitchell I dont like but I think they foreseen that, like all greats, their time in the sun had come to an end. From Webb Ellis to 1998, Cullen was the best fullback of that whole time.

We were sitting at least 45 metres away, and we heard the impact clear as a bell. Cully was straight back onto his feet and into the game.
