actually, Jesus did not write "forgiven". he wrote the sins of the people that condemned the woman. that is why they did not have the guts to stone the woman when he said "anyone without sin can throw the first stone"
The Bible story is the woman brought to Jesus who was caught in Adultery. Funny, they didn't the man isn't it? A great story. Actually, I believe Christ wrote the words of the sins of the pharisees who gathered around to accuse her. The Bible says they left one by one as Christ wrote. So that seems to be what would make them leave in shame......then she looked up and called him "Lord." She knew the Lord when she saw him. Beautiful story.
@physicaltspiritual I think Jesus wrote the Law as it fit each of her accusers (Romans 3:20). Of course I am arguing from silence...so I cannot prove this. However it is consistent with His custom.
@hallpriest9 John 8:1-11 Woman was caught in the act of adultery.
The teachers of the law and the Pharisees did not rightly apply the Law...see Deuteronomy 22:22 This is why I think Jesus wrote down the Law. Jesus did not accuse them of their sin...He just let the Law work on their conscience.
@hallpriest9 the woman the Scribes and Pharisees wanted to stone because she was living in Adultery and Christ said to them, he that is Without Sin cast the 1st stone! He even wrote their sins in the dirt when he stooped down, so they all walked away because they knew they all were living sinful. Christ then said to her your sins be forgiven, go and sin no more! Text: John 8:3-11
thats why islam is so wicked a religion. they forgive nobody. they still stone women and treat them like dirt. they kill innocent women and children with bombs. totally evil totally cowards

Somewhere in Singapore a sixty-something Chinese man wept as he listened to this moving hymn. That man was me.
