@xxxxxTRIVIUMxxxxx well, you can paint on the polyurethane...u just need to ruff it up with a low grit sandpaper so the paint will have something to bite into.
but i guess going strait to the wood would get a nicer finish. lol you should stained 2 yellow stripes into the wood, then paint the rest black, that would be sick
hey nice job man, it looks sweet. I was thinking of making a warlock in shop class and had the same idea of using auto paint, but i dont know if it would be the best choice (smell/eating away wood), has it worked out for u? also any tips welcome \m/
i never play mine, i hate it. thats why i decided to make it a project. I used tons of primer so nothing ever chipped except for when i masked out the stripes, the tape pulled some of the paint off. nothing serious though. Get good polyurethane, and put lots of coats of it on or you wont really get it glossy. I only used one can and its not too glossy
well idk know about the higher end bc rich's but mine was the shitty bronze serious with the shitty neck and pickups that i probably played 10 times ever so wanted to do somthing with it
looks like Stryper.

@thomascatlett555 The bronze series is terrible, but once you get to the $600 ones or so, they improve dramatically.
