@13pangea Well, I'm learning Quenya, so it's easy for me to recognize what's in that language and what's Sindarin. :D For "Eärendil," I think 'ä' doesn't exist in Sindarin anyway, so it's not too difficult to guess at a first glance that it's a Quenya word. :)
@xgoesundefinedx Not only Earendil, but also "sìla" is a Quenya word ("elen sìla lumen omentielvo"), and even "maeglin" and "estel" (both of them are also names in Tolkien's mythology: Maeglin is the son of Aredhel and Eol, and Estel means "Hope" and is the name Elrond gave to Aragorn -"Onen-i Estel Edain, ù cheben Estel amin" Girlaen said to her son-). After all, all the songs which refers to Earendil are usually in Quenya: it's like to pray in latin! (hope you understand: I'm not English!)
It's wonderful how this story has inspired such beautiful music. As an American now living in England I can see what inspired J.R.R. Tolkien to write LOTR. There are some truly magical parts of England that truly take your breath away. So magical.
1 Nazgul disliked this because Arwen drowned him in the movie

@akumie2 The [ARWEN & ELVES] part is in Sindarin, and the name "Eärendil" is in Quenya. :)
