The saddest thing from the film is the Jack's (gay) best friend's (Tony's) comment on how he worries what Jack would do to him if he is sleeping. While sex is an inevitable part in homo and hetersexual love, sterotypical interpretation that gays are promiscuous, horny and obscene seem to firmly inculcated in most people's mindset. Is it true that gay people could not even have a pretty harmless crush? No matter what others say, shouldn't Tony have the decency to stand by his friend Jack?

The so many 'what if's' say it all! Being a minority is always tragic. No matter how open a society is, the outsider will never really fit into a mainstream. There are people who are destined to live a tragic life from the start, the world is not a fair place to begin with. However, there should be more accomodation, compassion and understanding to the minority, even though they will never truly be accepted!

I can help you answer your question....Gay people in Malaysia are quite out in the society(especially in the big cities, we have a online network - fridae, axcest, and trevvy (dot com)) , it's quite common, they don't hide like the koreans do,or course we too have the problems of some parents not accepting and other common issues....
