Expensive medical equipment was donated to a hospital that lacks electricity much of the time. While rescuers were pulling out people from the rubble many of the victims were crying and apologizing to the rescuers because they felt guilty that they were being saved instead of someone else. One old lady was crushed under a shelf and broke several bones in her leg, but she was still crying and apologizing to the rescuers because they saved her instead of someone else. That level of courtesy doesn't exist in Haiti.

While rescuers were pulling out people from the rubble many of the victims were crying and apologizing to the rescuers because they felt guilty that they were being saved instead of someone else. One old lady was crushed under a shelf and broke several bones in her leg, but she was still crying and apologizing to the rescuers because they saved her instead of someone else. That level of courtesy doesn't exist in Haiti.

American donated $1.4 billion to NGOs for Haiti. Only 25% of that money has been spent so far.
