I love how this sounds like FF music; Calm music just adds so much emotion to an intense game like Halo. Anyone can make a First Person Shooter and put screamo music in it and have it sound good... but only few can make calm quiet piano music work within a first person shooter. Halo has an amazing soundtrack.

@HYPERSHADOW8452 they ruined so it would fit in with the level you were playing. its set so as soon as you get to that part of the level the atmosphere changes along with the music. i agree it should not have been changed like that.

you can think of it as 2 different songs on one track. If you want you can just stop listening after the 3 minute mark. that's what i do.

No other piece of music has made me feel as engaged in a game lost or immersed as this song. In my honest opinion, I truly believe that Marty O'Donnel is our Mozart as far as music with video games. Absolutely incredible and breathtaking.

i guess it sort of works for the actual gameplay when you face the Covenant. I'm not sure they actually think about what goes on when someone listens to this freely, but when you listen it when you're fighting.

Huh? What's this? A jazz piece?? Metroid music?? Uh... t-this IS a HALO track, right?

I don't like the parts after 2:23 much. Don't get me wrong: the rest is great! I love the jazz and dark, metallicness! But IMO, they should have just put an ending after 2:23 and split the other parts into different songs. They're just kinda unfitting with the first to me.
