I may have Asperger Syndrome but I am a fully capable 23 yr old woman who works as a diamond consultant, attends school and lives by myself (say for my 2 cats ;) ). Despite all this I still have people assume that because of my autism I'm unintelligent. I was in the ER due to a seizure disorder and was there 3 hrs before the doctors found out I was autistic. That's when they started speaking to me like I was 3 yrs old!
