MS timetables are a horror..spend hours waiting for corresponding flights..thats why they are cheap out of Athens or London..

@am1966ath I think they improved with star but I can't be sure.. honestly, I still don't know how they got thier membership with star allaince.. I heared that T3 in Cairo is not bad but CROWDED.. I am not so eager to fly and connect with them at CAI.

@hmasurg If you look at their timetable youll see that flights do not connect.....its quite an organisatory problem to create connections..and also a smooth organization takes time and effort..the egyptaians are not especially friendly in this aspect..nor are the greecs for that matter.

The 342 isn t that old..not so way back MS Egyptair operated B737S and B707S that were really old and also B743S to Tokyo and Manila, saw a MS B743 at Tokyo Narita in August 1997....MS used to have a lot of delays..without explaination..LOL

@am1966ath I saw the MS 743 in RUH I think in 2008 and after that I think they have been removed from the fleet... I only flew with them once in 2007 and it was on-time... but I believe what you say

@am1966ath well well well didn't know that MS used to operate flights to manila , now that's interesting , and btw i think those a342's are not that old after i knew that some 743's in SV's fleet are 25 yrs old , an aircraft can be very reliable u know :))

@hammoudy1300 Egyptair had the same routing as PIA..Bangkok-Manila-Tokyo..the 342 is way more modern than the B747-300...old airplanes can be very reliable if they are well mantained but carrirs with old airplanes tend t5o have more delays..look at Bangladesh Biman and their DC10s from 1978..delays and engine breakdowns..in the end of 1980S THAI had old B747-200S and DC10 that were causing massive delays.SIA knows what they do when they buy new airplanes in short intervals.

@THEIZAZO I flew with them in 2007 RUH-CAI MS 652 (A320) and CAI-RUH MS 651 (A332).. I really didnt like them.. the service was as if we were alog the streetsof cairo (I was working on my surgery presentation on my laptop) and the FA was being too nosey.. the food was really the worst food I have ever had on an airplane. The return flight was better but still bad food (no PTV on A320 and A332). I think they improved a bit with starallaince..

and a friend of mine flew MS 77W CAI to JFK and he said it was very nice.. for me I may concider trying them again (77W) but I am not going to have great expectations.. so you saw the 77W in RUH or KWI? according to MS website in the near future they will be coming to Riyadh.
