  • I love it!! great job. Would a full-scale electric guitar work just as well, or does a short-scale guitar have an advantage?

  • @Jim5150jvc Thanks! The Tres typically has a similar scale length as a 3/4 size guitar, so a full-scale guitar would end up kinda like a baritone tres. Might be cool! Check out my TresEléctrico channel for more videos and info! youtube dot com slash treselectrico

  • Yes, yes, YEEES!!! You have done a great service to mankind! Gracias, Señor Mathews. I have been looking for something like this for a long time, asking luthiers in my local area if they could build me one, but nobody in my country knows anything about this instrument.

I definitely want one, but before ordering I have a few questions. There is not enough space to ask them here, so I’ll send you an email. Thanks again, and keep on rocking all the nations! :-D

  • yeah that would be great, Ive been playing the tres for several years now and I really liked the sound of yours...there is one slight problem though, i live in argentina...but ill be in NY in early august. Where are you based and what kind of price range do you forsee for the electric tres with finetuning?

  • @ariansito I am in Indiana. Shipping to NY would be easy, but I cannot say exactly when a production model will be finished, or exactly how much it would cost. It will take some time to get all the details right. How long will you be in NY?

  • cool...sounds good...is it for sale?

  • @ariansito Thanks! This is the prototype. I hope to put these instruments up for sale as soon as I can streamline all the design and production elements. I'm happy to put you at the top of the waiting list if you'd like one. Designs to retrofit the Ibanez Mikro, Les Paul Express/SG Express or Laguna LE50 are also in the works.
