@samuelLjackson5 it's a glorified town like every city with 100-200 residents not bordering a major city, but it's not like they claim to be as bumpin as NY LA Philly Boston Chicago or Miami. I've met lots of people from springfield cause i live in boston and they know they are small town.

That's Western Mass Electric's building. Further down the road from it is the Eastern States Exposition, which is West Springfield. I checked an online town map, and it shows the facility in West Springfield (with the Agawam border just to the south of it).

Dusty - I grew up in Spfld, and now live in Boston. I think Spfld has a lot of geat qualities, and plenty bad. It is true that the bad part of Spfld is always next door to the new development. How about showing Forest Park, and some of the nice old mansions in the area?

I live in Springfield. The only other city in Massachusetts that i would live in is Pittsfield. Worcester is a freaking dump. Lowell sucks and Boston is to freaking expensive. so if you've never lived in springfield or have never gone there and u continue to badmouth it i got one thing for you. SHUT THE FUCK UP.

i was happy to see someone give the kind of attention this matter needs here on YouTube. Springfield Massachusetts might be the most unknown of all the economically depressed cities in the US (incl. nearby Holyoke), but I'd say it's the most depressed north of Newark.

You're half right.... Lowell is actually quite nice now, strong revitalization coupled with an EXCELLENT community policing strategy under current Boston commisioner Ed Davis, same deal in Worcester. Youre right about Fitchburg and Lawrence
