However, Orion Pax existed in what was known as the golden age of cybertron. Megatron and his cronies were one of the first who could fly. I must point out that megatron wasn't created until well after the quintesons had been overthrown by both the slave worker robots (the autobots) and the military robots (the decepticons). This is explained in the episode where Rodimus journey's into the matrix to find out about the quintesons. The decepticons then felt power hungry (supposedly to respond to what they had been built to do) and a war broke out between the autobots and the decepticons.

They gained sentience and rebelled scattering the Quintasons across the galaxy and giving rise to the Cybertronians and the Golden Age. They fractured millions of years later into the Autobots and Decepticons when Megatron came to power and began attacking various plants and warehouses to build an army.

@PivotMMZ That was actually a VERY powered down Megatron whose shots were deflected. In the 86 movie, ALL of the Decepticons were fully powered up. You have to give Prime props for being THAT damn strong to take out many of the 'Con soliders as well as beating the crap out of Megatron with honor. He may have died, but he did it with valor and heroism.
