  • I would rather shoot myself in the foot with a 9mm than to get bit by one of these.

  • The symptoms except dying sounds actually good :)

  • funnelweb is my favorited spider :)

  • @walkabout16

G'day... Well, yeah, most of this is true. The Toenail Penetration - well, maybe. If the Nail has been softened by a bath, or all day in a sweaty sock in a boot... But I have a NE Fun.Web at my front gate, I know of several that have burrows in the lawn around the Hut. There's one in the Car, it's web is under the Driver's seat-mount. I can't guarantee they'll bite a thief... But they tend to leave me alone,so far anyway. They know I'm harmless !

  • wait wait wait so this spider's fangs are strong enough to penetrate through a human toenail? HOLY SHIT!!!!!

  • "Fortunately, it lives in Sydney". Not so fortunate if YOU LIVE IN SYDNEY!

  • @HugeDeek

Actually every part of Australia has it's own version of this spider.

  • Is that foot real? Who would volunteer to get bitten from such a thing!?!

  • i seriously doubt it could penetrate a toe nail, it takes a decent amount of force to do that, and that spider doesnt weight that much either. I can take a needle and put a few pounds of force on it against my toe nail and it doesnt penetrate my toe nail, theres no way a spider could generate that much force as i did.

  • I'm glad I live on the other side of the country.

  • i am soooo sorry i watched this!

  • Why I always wear cleets..

  • Dear lady,

COULDN'T YOU SEE HOW BIG THAT SPIDER WAS?!

  • i could feel it on my foot...

  • I was like dude thats scary, but when he sai enough force to penertrate a TOENAIL, i was LIKE HOLY SHIT OWWW

  • Fortunately, they only live in Sydney.

  • ok i have to ask, how many people checked their feet when they first watched this video.

  • It’s the worst when they creep into peoples beds at night, they like dark places and many people have been bitten in there own beds, the fangs of the funnel web are just epic weapons. No spider in this world has the size and bite force of this spiders fangs not to mention these spiders have a reputation to be highly aggressive as they are seeking females at night.

  • If you're so scared of this spider, then it's good to know that since the introduction of Funnelweb antivenom, no one has died from a bite.

  • I just felt a tingling feeling on my back and spazzed out.

  • Anyone else feel a sharp little prick on their toe and freak out?

  • Im sitting here without shoes or socks on...

  • those things jump

  • @russ9356 Nope sorry they don't. Hardly any spiders can jump.

  • What I never understand is why spiders evolved a poison that can kill a human.

Technically we are not their natural enemy or prey, we sort of 'run' into each other most of the time.

I also doubt it hunts any prey up to any size of a cat for which it needs such a potent venom.

  • im not moving my legs until i forget about this video D:

  • Right, this said Australia and not California, right?

  • When you live in a country that has poisonous spiders in it you should not be walking around the house with no shoes on.

  • So I cant help but notice theres a vacuum right there... maybe you should turn it on and let it deal with the spider?

  • Oh god kill it with fire

  • Respect for whoever offered their toe!!!!

  • @KelloggG8 Its a fake toe pause during the image.

  • @KelloggG8 It's a fake. Who in the world would be sane enough to offer his/her toe?

  • thumbs up if you breathed a sigh of relieve when you heard it lived in australia

  • @LtColPayPay this statement excules those who live in australia.

  • @snakesrule5 very true.

  • @LtColPayPay maybe for you, but i live in australia ASWELL as sydney!

  • @LtColPayPay i reckon! oh wait i live in australia ... lol

  • This is why I kill spiders...

  • hey check this out i wear shoes a lot and if i ever see one i hope it can pierce a 1 inch rubber sole or its fucked six ways from sunday

  • if that spider bit me id rip out its fangs and make it starve to death.

  • @Calyptico yep

  • BLIMEY AUSTRALIA! YER SCARY MATE!

  • Wellp, Guess that means im crossing Australia off the "places i wanna visit" list. Fuck That Shit.

  • Holy shit FUCK I LIVE IN SYDNEY D:

I have arachnophobia but this just made it worse :$:!;39.$29.&19:&1&:@10&,29$;20;92;&20'dwpjwpdkwpdkwnxwpnswodjwpdkwpxk!!!!!!

  • @xxsweetandsassyxx you dead yet?

  • This made my body shiver.

  • awwwwww sooooo cute !!!! >.<

  • Damn nature, You scary!

  • any one feel something on their arm left or right

  • I had my feet clinched this whole video !

  • THATS VERY SCARRY

  • enough force to penetrate a toe nail? how can an insect do that?

  • @ernestas111 Spiders are Arachnids. Not insects.

  • @luigidaman908 Well then, that means my biology teacher gotta read more lol

  • @ernestas111 Lulz I knew they were Arachnids and I'm 8.

  • @TheSupersky9304 good for you my little biologist

  • I was contemplating studying abroad in Australia while I was in school.

This is one of many reasons I decided against it: Spiders from hell.

The others were time, workload, and culture shock.

  • @Hoshimaru57 If you think we have spiders from hell then I'll just say one thing, Snakes and lots of em >:D

  • @Possesd Yeah, but the difference is, I'm not as inherently freaked out by snakes as spiders.

I mean I'd know to stay the hell away from any snake I encountered, but spiders are different.

    They find you.

  • when i go to see my sister in australia, i think im going to keep my shoes on..

  • dear moron who demonstrated the bite... why

  • @xdownxwithxthexclown that was a fake foot

  • @xdownxwithxthexclown computer animations its not legal to do something like that.

  • Oh my god...

  • Not all spiders can kill. The Huntsman/Avondale Spider cannot kill people & theyre everywhere in eastern austrailia. Not in the US. Is there anyway to overcome my fear of huntsman spiders?

  • Comment removed

  • i fucking hate spiders!

  • i say fuck nature....

  • Dear Australia get less fucked up animals

  • like this if you just looked down ;)

  • When it pierced the skin at 1:57 my feet curled

  • Fuck Australia.. Spiders everywhere snakes everywhere scorpions all over the place & sharks. And to top it off video censorship is through the roof.. What do Aussies get to do all day? Planking doesn't look so bad after all of these conditions after all.

  • @prototype21 "spiders everywhere snakes everywhere scorpions allover the place and sharks" ?? in all my time living in Australia ive only ever seen those things at zoos...

  • i don't think i wanna go to australia anymore

    are these spiders common?

  • i thought its funnel web not "toe-stabbing"

  • Where is my shot gun!!!!

  • thunbs up if you checked for spiders after the video

  • Killer sharks, jelly fish, spiders, snakes, drought? Fuck that shit! Dingos ate my baby!

  • WHO THE FUCK IN AUSTRALIA WALKS AROUND WITH OUT SHOES. fuck the spiders what about the snakes.

  • thumbs up if you put up your feet up of the floor when watching this ;o

  • shits gross

  • where do I turn in my resume to be one of those guys who get test bitten by these spiders?

  • @niguhfag I doubt a resume is needed lol They'll just take you.

  • if you get bit while asleep your fucked if you can die within an hour haha

  • @farts537

Dude, if you get bit while sleeping, YOU WILL NOTICE!

  • DeathStalker scorpion's venom is more dangerous than this spider's..

  • Ugh!!!! reminds me when i was about to stick my foot in my shoe a brown spider about the size of my thumb came crawling out...I screamed and grab a news paper with a crazed look on my face saying "DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!" and wacked it alot......err yeah...

  • the narrerator said she when it was a guy

  • y did they let it bite the kid? that's not cg, maybe they cut off the fangs or something i don;t knoow

  • I'm happy I'm in Canada

  • @MrSuperfrog6 me too, fuck

  • yeah because as if you would get a camera right there in time to see her get bitten

  • the fangs are so massive they need to walk on an angle.

  • just a question... was that person seriously bitten by it? or was it an extremely convincing looking dummy foot?

  • Im am no expert but would any one in treir right mind get that close to a spider that dangerous, use your loaf and take a closer look at the video

  • @PILLOCKHEAD who knowns... maybe they milked it and it had no venom left before getting bit for the sake of a show... the fact that theres no reflex reaction from the sudden jab however points more at the theory t hat it wasn't a real toe... looks bloody real though.

  • Me moving to Australia i think not

  • I think this video is a bit alarmist - I have lived in Australia for over 50 years including my first 15 years in Sydney and I have never been near being bitten by a Funnel Web spider! You have to be careful in bathrooms and laundries but they are very shy spiders and they hate bright light (like Mogwais!) and are rarely seen in the daytime! We also got used to checking our shoes before putting them on as they are a favourite refuge of many spiders!

  • @tachuman I heard the big danger comes from the male funnel webs who go searching for a mate and wind up in peoples residences...yikes!!!

  • @phillyflash43 - I understand the males are much more venomous than the females but in my experience, their presence inside houses is pretty rare and usually after heavy rain or extensive digging in the garden has disturbed them. I would say that 90%+ of Australians have never seen a live Funnel Web spider! There are much greater dangers in this country than spiders! Motor cars for instance!

  • the worst cringe from this video came at the end... a TOENAIL???

  • Most Australians living in Sydney get bitten about twice a week by funnel web spiders. You tend to get use to it after a while.

  • FUCK ME DID SOMEBODY ACTUALLY GET THEIR FOOT BITTEN AT 1:57???

More importantly did they do that just for the video????

  • I quickly went cross-legged in my chair after seeing this

  • it makes me want to puke just thinking of those things biting your toe then wrapping around it ugghhhh

  • haha in :29 the spider is all like oh bitch wat u gonna do to me

  • Caution: Don't watch this before going to bed. I can feel redback crawling on my left toe.

  • no need to describe the spider to me. if i see any creepy crawly arthropod motherfucker out of the corner of my eye ill go insane.

  • I've been living in Sydney for all my life and so far I've never seen a Funnel Web Spider.. So don't be a pussy

  • Why would u even live in Australia?!?!

  • i live in melbourne, fuck living in sydney !

i have to deal with the huntsman spider. :|

    fuck my life.

  • yea... best way to kill it is not a newpaper, but a shotgun.

  • Actually, the deadliest spider in the world is called the Brown Recluse. Look it up.

  • @forevergameslover LOL the most deadly is brazilian wandering spider...the most aggressive is the funnel web...LOL

  • @PinkERaver

sry, but that's not true either... there's still a great argumentation going on, which of those two actually is the most deadly - but without any reliable result yet... ;-)

  • @forevergameslover Bullshit! In the US perhaps but not the world.

  • @forevergameslover bullshit, not to humans anyway

  • @forevergameslover Wrong. Learn your stuff before commenting again and then come see me.

  • @forevergameslover LOL you're an idiot, look up the brazilian wandering spider

  • @forevergameslover the brown recluse has venom similar to the black widow which doesn't even match the funnel web in the slightest, I think it's still in debate whether the funnel web or the Brazilian wandering spider is the most venomous :P

  • me n spiders dnt mix i was havin spasms watching this shit

  • You bunch of pussies.

I eat these things for breakfast.

  • @Caineheist so u die right?

  • you pussies !! I live in Australia and you rarly see these deadly animals !

  • @jordytee1 were do they, live

  • I'm so glad I live in England where the most harmful arachnid is the common household spider.

  • when i heard the effects i was like oh thats not so bad all i have to do is go to the hospital but nooo after two hours that shits goin down!

  • se thats why i dont wanna go to australia

  • Did anyone else just lift their feet off the ground when they saw this?

  • a long time ago, i was on the path to citizenship to austrailia. thank fucking god i quit that dumb shit.

  • one of these things was on the window of my car and started to bite the crap out of my window O_O

  • there the most badass spiders.

  • @vsboy25 They're*. It's not there or their, retarded kid.

  • scary as shit

  • what they forgot to mention is that it's very rare for a funnel web to bite anyone... you got more chance of getting attacked by a shark... And yes the sharks here have fangs and poison you too... :)

  • i wanna poke it :)

  • Jesus, my Dad wouldn't go anywher near that with a rolled-up newspaper!

  • OMG that is one ugly ass spider and no I don't think hubby and I are visiting Australia at any time in the future because I am terrified of spiders.

  • holy fuck.

i'm scared of daddy long legs. but THIS?! -SCREAM.

  • I was thinking about living in australia but fuck that shit I don't want to die

  • @Graziotto123456789 I hear ya...Australia is cool what with the kangaroos, the accent, and a few other things, but the fact that Australia has some of the most deadly animals prevents me from visiting...That and my fear of riding on airplanes...

  • @Graziotto123456789

that would be a routine job for the medical team in Australia

you don't have to worry, it's every day event there

  • last summer.. i was going out to my pool.. and i saw this spider... i thought it was that spider so i screamed and ran away :P

  • D:

  • Even if that was a fake toe or whatever it was, it better have been paid.

  • we need to purify the world, hitler was on the right path, but he was killing the wrong people. only daddy longlegs should be able to exist, no other spiders

  • ive been in australia for 16years and not once have i seen one...

  • OUCH!!!

  • @terryn194 me too :S

  • did you hear that

what did i just step on

WOAH dude look at this bitch!!!

  • Oh jesus.

I hate my country sometimes >.>

  • Australia, why? :(

  • Don't have to worry about the snakes spiders,e.t.c.in the concrete and bitumen surburbia you will never to hardly ever come across them,it's the locals that are gon'na kill ya!

  • Thanks for making me scared now , im looking all over my room to make sure im safe...and im from chicago

  • I'm going to have nightmares.

  • I'm terrified of arachnids... I live in texas and im from washington state, so i've always had the brown recluse, and I got bit by a (or some other nasty ass spider) 3 months ago. We got scorpions in texas as well, but just the little guys... This is my problem, i'm not afraid of bears, cougars or anything like that, because YOU CAN SEE THE FUCKER BEFORE IT GETS YOU!!!

    thanks for the future nightmares,

    jeff

  • FUCK
