@RAMEWE97 That may be true, but the bottom is also the flattest part of the bottle. With arrow heads, you need the least amount of concavity or else the path of the arrow will be thrown off.
Saw a guy use an arrowhead made from a bottle to kill a turkey on the discovery channel. It really makes me wanna throw a bottle bottom into my survival pack.
@JaredRp funny thing is that he could have killed the turkey with the bottle alone ;P lol but i guess if you get proficient at this then it could be a good survival skill... especially if you own a good bow...
thanks for the great vid, My glass arrow and spear heads are really improving since watching this demonstration. Mine will probably not be works of art like yours, but definetly field expedient. Thanks!
@lordfranz24 not the point, if your in the wild or something and have to make one, its strong enough to penetrate skin and kill an animal. Its not made to be shot at a wall.
@lordfranz24 Normally native people make them from obsidian in the wild. Obsidian is a type of hard volcanic glass that is found in nature. It is more durable than a beer bottle and can actually be sharpened sharper than a razor blade. It would slice through the tissue and organs of an animal like butter. It might break if it hit certain bone but the job would be done by then.
Is this arrowhead strong enough to shot into trees without breaking
lluukkaa1 3 days ago
@lluukkaa1 it depends on the tree and glass
fuckyochair 2 days ago
@fuckyochair let's say jeger maister vs. pine tree... would it stick in?
lluukkaa1 16 hours ago
@lluukkaa1 it would stick in a couple of times then brake, you would be better off shooting a peace of foam or a dirt pile

Can't you just hit that Bottle on the Ground and watch out for some usable pieces for an Arrow?
That's the way I would do that.
