I'm not a fan of yamaha, but I'm pretty sure it was still goin. And wheres the Suzuki.... Umm they left it out cause it's the best of all. And the Polaris, well it rocks and it's funny how they didn't show it on the rollers. So this vid is complete bs.
I love how the Honda owners console themselves by saying, "I would never buy a canam, my honda is reliable" lol thats bout the only thing honda does right
why didnt they show polaris on the obstacle.. maybe cause they know that the polaris wouldnt have that probable and the 4 wheel drive system does the samething but better ?
lol only people that shouldn't be driving cant steer a fully locked quad without power steering. the thing about visco lock is that in the second demo if the other tires were on ice it would be doin donuts
visco lock sucks, by the time it locks your stuck anyway, u dont need to stop a kawi to use the diff lock, its a clutch, just grab the lever and go, and the mud bog test was BS, notice they kept the outlander touching the side in the shallow mud and drove the kawi right in the deep shit, and whoever was driving, shouldnt be driving, that was the biggest pile of bull shit ever, my twin peaks/ prairie 700 in stock form would make a joke of those tests, get a clue before u make a fool of yourself!!
LMAO I like how they left Polaris out of the roller bed comparison....lol. Polaris took the much harder line through the pit and still finished. PoPo FTW!!!!
visko lock, and visko joke arent even congruent. im no fan, but cmon. that is lame. you hillbillies should have came up with something like, " visco cock". wayyyy better.
a lot of argueing here, but i personally like the manual diff lock because when theres a mud hole i want all 4 tires spinning all the time, not waiting for this visco lock to activate. plus it seems like another gadget that may break. but either way get some good tires and u'll be good to go.
im getting a four wheeler soon to push snow and stuff and i need one with 4 wheele drive a winch like 400 cc motor and under i would say 2000 dollers anybody know thx
I have a 07 outlander 500, my brother has a 660 grizzly and my friend has a 700 grizzly and honestly we all go the same places with the same amount of trouble or ease but they do make me go through the deep water first to see how deep it is cause mine is the only one that the belt dont slip in water but there all bad ass quads
ha lol u dont even get it do u, all atvs are really 3x4 until u lock the front diff, where YOU NEED TO STOP TO ENGAGE THE FRONT LOCKER the visco lock system activate automatically listen before talking dumbass
um no you dont retard polaris has true 4x4 and if your trying to say that its like awd and its on all the time its not retard how can you be so stupid no quad has an awd drive system each 4x4 quad has to be turned on manually even can am smart ass
ok dipshit, when ur press the 4wd button or switch its really 3x4 until u lock the front diff, i figured ur were smart enough to make that distinction
retard polaris dosent do that you hit the 4x4 button and you got full 4x4 no fucking locking diff button or lever and can am has the shitty visco lock that starts as 3x4
the thing i dont like about that is that you have to get eps with it, if you dont, its a bitch to steer and i've heard about polaris's new driveshafts brake when yu turn real hard in 4wd
na its not hard and ima let you in on a secret im only 13 and i can steer it fine without eps, but dont get me started on driveshafts i broke the front main one s now i only have 2wd and i messed up one rear hub so the axle just spins but dosnt move the tire, so im actually down to 1wd right now
its true with the brute force you can use the diff when you want. with the visco stuck one wheel needs to spin and build up pressure so that u can use the diff lock. when you are about to go into a mud hole, you will know before you go in it if you will need diff and the brute and grizzly let you put the diff when you want, can am you cant
because u dont need to engage it it engages by itself and it takes a fraction of a second, and i own a grizzly and my couz owns a brute force and u have to stop or go under 5 mph to engage the front diff
well I own a brute force and normally when you are in a ruff situation were you need diff, youre not going more than 5 mph and i can engage it at any speed
listen ass fuck you give it to your can am up its ass i wouldnt be talking of i were you son. can ams do not compare to arctic cats or even a fucking yamaha so piss off
Ok buddie....ill piss in your gas tank and it wont make a difference cause artic cat sucks BALLS....So stick that artic crap back up your ass!!...Honda is better than artic crap!
hahahha yeah ok muthaphucker your obviously jealous cuz u cant afford a arctic cat hondas are the cheapest POS ever made . and can-ams they dont live up to what they say they do with there visco shit. rear swing arm bends, POS frame frame bends. there engineers are fucking raped apes dum fuck
wheres arctic cat guys with ther class leading ground clearence. can-am to pussy to compet againsts one? huuuh ya thot so, u guys are affraid to get yer pussy canadian assses handed to u from a cat.
You notice how none of the can am loving competitions have a cat to challenge, maybe thats because can am sucks and cat would embarrass the shit out of can am in any 4x4 contest, visco lock is a joke, and dangerous as hell while rock crawling
Funny how the mud pit test showed the Polaris getting beat by "rider error - couldn't hold the line". And they didn't even try the Sportsman in the last test. I'd say they're pretty equal. My Sportsman 600 does just fine in the mud.
I have a 400 Outlander and it is the business - much better than anything else on the market. I farm in South Africa, right in the mountains and with the Viscolok system the Outlander has never let me down. As a simple test, lie a tar pole on the ground and the Outlander will crawl over it WITHOUT moving the pole. Every other quad shoots the pole out from under the tyres - no finesse. Power is nothing without control my friends. Also, the build quality is streets ahead on the Bombardier.
This is pathetic. They didnt test the Grizzly 660 or the 700. They only tested one with diff-lock. And it was the kawaski with the stupid "lever diff-lock" The 700 Grizzly has EPS so steering isn't a problem.
if they showed a grizzly, everybody knows would easily win, the GRIZZLY. The grizzly is a monster of a quad, its built to last and to out-perform everything.
That doesn't make any sence. A better test is when they show the quads with 3 tires on rollers and one front tire with a log infront of it. This shows that the bombardier can only get over it after it spins its tires. A TRUE diff-lock doesn't need to spin its tires to build hydrolic pressure.
This is bull crap. The purpose of a locking differential is to stayed locked. And if you need a locking diff then you are in some nasty terrain and are probably tough enough to muscle the steering.

Can-Am is only good for power... for the rest, honda is the best. Honda also make the best automatic transmission because they use no belt, so they don't lose 15% to 25% of their power like belt drive atv's :
honda rincon = around 35hp
Kawasaki B-F 650 = around 45hp
And the rincon perform better than the Brute Force in deep mud...
Ohh yeah, that hole also wasn't deep because the cvt is really low on my outy, which stinks, and ground clearance stinks as well. But not many 4X4's out drag all the sport 2wheel drives. Not to mention reverse wheelies. Everybody loves reverse wheelies.
I have 2007 outy 800 and am pretty happy with it, yet there are times that the visco lock just plain sucks. There are times when you don't want to start spinning in order to lock all tires. I like the idea of the visco lock but wish there was a diff lock too. Still this video is biased. The outlander's acceleration allows it to ge going faster when it hits the mud in this vid. Still I would buy this fourwheeler again, and again.
I just bought a can-am 800 because after riding all different types at River Ranch in Florida, the can-am is substantially better in every way from comfort, to speed, to power. I had no preference coming in as I have not owned an atv since the stone ages. FYI: the Polaris is slow as a dog, the brute force and yamaha both break axles constantly, and the the new visco lock on my 08 locks in imeadiately. I would have bought an american made Polaris machine, but didn't want to be left behind.
obviously any quad manufacture that puts out a dvd to prove there quad, there quad is going to be the one that wins, its rediculous, from what i see, polaris is the best mud quad out there, stock it has the best everything visco lock requires the wheel to turn three times before it locks in polaris is the only true one button switch LOCKED differential
I've got an Outlander800 and it's pretty sure-footed as all ATV's are. It's the tires that make the difference. I don't think any certain ATV is that much different than the others. I ride with guys who have all brands and we all go up pretty steep hills and through deep mud and the only thing which seems to matter much is the tires.
This is definitely set-up so bombardier wins or comes really close. The only true tests arent done by one of the manufacturers, because they show everything good about that one model, even though there are many Polaris and Yamaha advantages....such as cost
That is what they need to put on one of these videos.
I've had so much trouble with my CanAm800. At 6 months the engine blew and had to be rebuilt. The front springs collapsed. The winch had to be replaced. The transmission housing leaked water causing the belt to slip. Then the transmission stopped shifting later and now my ATV is in the shop getting a new clutch because it locked up a few weeks ago. Although the warranty is 3 yrs I still have to pay a $50 dectable for each incident. They're fun and fast but unreliable.
they failed 2 say that canam put that test 2gather so of course there going 2 win but the popo is better cas i just bought a 2008 800 efi but i would still buy a can am 2 its just i saved so much money on the popo
cutlass, if that can-am had hit the side of the pit the frame would have been bent so good damn bad it would have not been able to move so the polaris would have come to get it. so no, can-ams fall apart. polaris wins
both pistons rise and fall at the same time but fire alternately.every time they fall one is having a power stroke, that's why it has a two stroke like sound
i have an 800 sportsman, and even though i completely love the 4wd system, i know my lighter grizzly 660 can make it through more mud without diff lock (Also, it has new mudlite XL's)
but on bug rocks visco lock doesnt work well there a lockable dif works better
and an independant 3rd party was present (outlanders went last in both classes so some mud was removed and moved out of the way by the time they went through (could result in the part of the 7 second diference between the polaris 800 and outy 800))tough quads though
well it was put on by bombardier but ive seen many other videos like this in mud and trails and most other terain ive driven on visco lock is the way to go sure it has a slight delay b 4 the 4th tire spins but it works well ive never had to winch out lot of power for a 400 too c next coment
