  • i saw my brother play this. he would scare me because he got scared of the undead. now that i played it, i think i had more guts than my older brother

  • I remember cheating my balls off in the mission when I happened to prop open the main front door, made my way up to the eye and did a mad dash through the haunted cathedral out the front door instead of escaping down the basement like the game wanted you to. I pulled the prop away from the door and locked the pursing enemies inside. Man those zombies and ghosts were pissed!

  • me too i would never go there but i think somehow garrett must have learned his lesson, in thief 2 in eavedropping, he said that he could use the catacomb but would rather not disturb the dead's sleeps

  • Wait a minute! That was Auldale on that map! Auldale is alive and well and NOT WALLED UP in Thief 3.

  • this is why i love the thief games, in the real world, no person would dare try to rob a haunted cathedral, if they existed, and who knows maybe there are some, you never know... but yea, this is what makes them so fun, Garrett is all cool about it too which makes you want to be ok with it lol, but me i kinda get all nervous and end up shitting myself

  • @Brady2k10

Reminds me that there WAS a church in Quebec City (in Canada) that was reputed to be haunted. One of the Tour guide let us in at nights and told us about many incident that happened there (including one where someone was playing the organ, but no one was there. Spooky). Didn't felt any spirit, but it was a freaky experience.

Of course, the noise and the feeling of a presence could be the work of a certain master thief, but there wasn't much of value in that church.

  • Yes the first two games were awesome - the third not so.

Sadly I fear there is little hope for the fourth game as it is the same team developing Deus Ex 3 who will develop thief 4.

  • I am hugely excited for Thief 4! Deadly Shadows was actually my favorite of the series, mostly due to The City and being able to ally yourselves with the Hammers or Pagans. But mad props are due to the first two games, of course :)

  • Ah these games! They're absolutely perfect! Anyone else that have high hopes for Thief 4? I know, I know, DS wasn't that good, but perhaps they can succeed with nr 4?

  • @wonderpride I have very low expectations for Thief 4. I adored the first 2 and really quite liked DS all things considered but the method for making games in 1998 and in 2010 are very different so I don't see it having the same drive that the old thiefs do.

  • scariest level of any game i've played. the cutscene doesnt help!

  • Another fantastic level. Getting all the loot on Expert tested my patience one evening, but beyond that another very-fun level.

They don't make games this good anymore...

  • no kidding as seen in deadly shadows...

  • I HATE ZOMBIES, but then at least they ain't those damn fireballs. give me zombies anyday compared to those nasty things.

  • i would rob this place, not too scary.

  • jilly this video won't load!

  • Bah! Crappy computer, wont load this one video, dangit.. guess ill have to fill in the blanks of what happened between 7 and 9

  • i love this game; the videos; the atmosphere.

  • anything for the cash.. oh that foolish Garrett never changes

  • I would never go there for money O_O

  • Well, I would go TO the cathedral, but not IN the cathedral ^^

  • foolishly brave lol

  • Hordes of zombies and raging fire's 8o

  • OoO

  • You made a typo in your description. :P

  • Oops xD! Lol, thanks.

  • Lol no problem.
