  • always one of my favorite players and held his own nicely through the whole shred thing - has his own distinct sound

  • Mr.Scary !

  • What is the song on begin ?

  • listen to me dudes out there lynch george is one of the best and most talented guitar masters of rock music.no school lessons like satriani or vai or kotzen.ok those guys are great too.

  • what paganini song is this?

  • intro song ?

  • for anyone that "bought" this video, back in the day, like i did.Do not watch it for hie explanation of theory. just watch and learn

  • Ohh correction:

he's using delay while playing Paganini.

  • great...please come again to indonesia..!!!

  • Great player and video, but the tone needs to be tweaked. There is sooo much gain, but with that background noise. It's horrible to my ears! :-(

  • @rmroza I agree. I luv George. his early sound was a bit more pure. 1 of the best solos I have ever heard (which are countless) is his foomr Cry of the Gypsy! it is melodic, spine-ripping, and completely from another dimension. the only better solo is foorm GOd: that is Jimi's Voodoo Child (Slight Return). everyone has tired and conceded that this is the pinnacle!

  • Keep up the good work Mr. Lynch we need " The Guitar Titans" in this pop/rap crap bag music world today.

  • He's such a great player...I just hate all the delay he uses on his signal. I wanna hear all those great notes!!

  • @niebollerboy Yeah, sometimes there's too much of it, but actually, there's no delay (which repeat frazes), he uses TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger. This pedal makes all this reverberation thing. Fantastic player and inspiring man anyway.

  • george....when you move from the 10 to 11th fret thats called going from natural to harmonic.....

  • 4 people who disliked this video are named Reb Beach.

  • @box1467 Ha Ha!!!

  • @box1467 Actually I think its Herman Ri who pressed the dislike button!

  • wow.... he looks so young here... check out the recent vid he did with Alexi Laiho from GuitarCenter -- he looks like George Hamilton in them vids... And who can forget that poofy hair ! Epic !

  • george lynch doesnt have a pinky he just has another finger

  • A true MONSTER! You the man George

  • @kiwisdad1

One thing I just noticed.... his hockey stick neck is not reversed.... I wonder if this guitar was a 1-off for the video. All of his other sig guitars have reversed necks if they don't have the Strat-like peghead. Cool.

  • este muchacho lynch es varvado para tocar la guitara

  • And what a stretch it would be if I used my own huge stick instead of the thumb ! ;-p

  • paganini or not, George Lynch is one of the best guitarists I've ever heard.

  • Does anyone know what particular paganini piece this is?

  • @joshMXR16 have you found a tab for it yet?

  • @darthfocus he lays it out in front of you wat do you need a tab for

  • @motleycrue24 I can pick up portions of it sure but other portions are simply too fast and too time consuming to transcribe. If it were that easy I'd expect you to send me your transcription.

  • @darthfocus lol just pause the video at 1:17 and it shows you what hes playing he just basically plays that different places on the neck i dont see whats so hard

  • @motleycrue24 Paganini isn't shown, still waiting for your transcription.

  • @darthfocus i couldnt write it out if i did i only learn by ear sorry man

  • i like the tapping idea at the end where the pick is used to tap with, you can achieve a more rappid tapping motion this way

  • George Lynch is not all of that.

  • Im not bashing Mr. Lynch in any way, (he's awesome) but that sure is one weird way he holds his pick xD

  • To much delay, LOL Doggie. I always get a kick out of listening to lame unknown posers like you spew your BS about legends like Lynch who could play circles around you with 1 finger and blindfolded. When you actually hit it big which we both know will NEVER happen your dogsheot opinion will mean something. LOL

  • Lynch was an asshole to his guitar tech, and some other people too.

  • i'll tell you what i love about lynch, even demonstrating a scale shape he makes it sound musical and throws in pinch harmonics and the whole deal. pure style

  • Hate his raspy, presence-laden shrill tone in this vid but his playing is and always be fantastic.

  • I just saw george a couple months ago in a clinic. Sad to say his tastes have changed in terms of sound, style, and tone compared with this video. Aw man I really miss the old george...but still a really good guitarist now. I guess he is still maturing as a guitarist.

  • George Lynch is my hero. I've met him. I love him. But for the love of God he can't teach. And really, to be honest, nobody can teach "feel"... He told me he never plays the same solo twice... Actually, that was the best lesson I ever had.

  • Take Adam D from killswitch engage when asked how his voice is so good he says "it just happens man!"

  • @tgm5150 whats that have to do with lynch KE blow man

  • some ppl just feel it dudes they dont even have to know music theory and stuff you gotta remember the ppl who came up with theory had to find it out for themselves no one showed them.

  • I have to know which Paganini song he plays at the end. Any body know?

  • Too much delay Georgie.

  • @DougFCKNSteele he always sets his delay to 2 mm thats far from too much

  • @dokken447 My ear says too much.

  • @DougFCKNSteele theres barely any reverb here..i think your mistaking the reverb for delay

  • @dokken447 Yeah, you're right. I guess 25 years of playing/teaching have destroyed my ears somethin' fierce.

  • @DougFCKNSteele i wrote that wrong i meant to say that you where mistakin the delay for the reverb :P

  • @dokken447 No, I was being a smart ass, what I mean to say was, whether it's delay or reverb, it sounds like fuckin' dog shit. he should lay off both and not rely on effects.

  • @DougFCKNSteele watever man im not goin to argue with a twelve year old or someone who acts like one

  • @dokken447 Good, stick to drums, cowboy.

  • @DougFCKNSteele oh i plan too :P

  • shows how intuitive he is! I love lynch'slaying- perfect blend of the old and new!

  • awesome

  • Is the Paganini piece tabbed out anywhere?

  • what dvd is this from?

  • just looking at him or hearing him talk you'd think that he was a pushover, then you hear him play and all doubts are cast aside.

  • i wonder if he really has taught himself.

  • Very low key person gl. He plays incredibly well and unique for not knowing much theory. I'm sure he knows more about that now though. Nice post, apb

  • i like how he holds the guitar like a classical player on the left leg

  • he speaks softly

  • I think it's "perpetual motion"

  • really cool guy, specially that paganini thing

  • 2.01 - 2.15 is fucking epic lick.

  • Paganini would be AWESOME if i could get it on my MP3..............where the hell do you find it?????

  • I love this song thanks for post , I was waiting for this video a long long time , this song is awesome

  • You're awesome George Lynch! Rock on dude!

  • ok i'm gonna buy a kramer, and put a finish like this on it,...when i have money

  • sometimes george lynch looks a lot like paul gilbert check 0:13

  • @neilvankleeff u mean the look..

    because the skills never =)

  • Seems pretty in sync to me.

  • damm.too fast.having a tough time playing that.damm!

  • Cool vid, you should upload the rest of it.

  • the guitar bible video has been uploaded a couple times on here usually everytime somebody uploads it the things outta sync

  • yeah i just tried finding it, outta sync like you said. quite a shame though...this is quite a damn nice lesson.
