  • Thought I got a great price with my Marquette MIG for $160. It is made in Italy and uses copper windings, but there was no gas solenoid, just a valve you pushed in when pulling the trigger. Ended up adapting one for it. So nice to finally have mig, after being stuck with a garbage 70A stick welder. Hate flux-core. End up burning myself.

  • So how you like the Lincoln? They're great, huh?! I picked up the 3200hd a few yrs ago and she's been nothing but good to me. Great tool to learn with and alot of fun too.

  • he sounds like wee man

  • brun the wire back and ur welder torch will brun and that ur welder torch away and buy new one for orther 100e

  • hahha bad welder no flux core and gas he not a relly a welder

  • @matthewsmyth1001 and your not really a speller.

  • @matthewsmyth1001

lol easy now, this was my first time ever wire welding, like 2.5 years ago. You might wanna check out some of my newer videos before you hate.

  • @WalkerTreeFarms with flux core you don't use gas! I'm a licensed welder i think i would know

  • @NoVaTutz

Good lord, how did you ever get a liscense saying things like that?

There are two kinds of FCAW, self shielded, and dual shield. Duel shield uses gas as well.

  • Hope you got it all figured out by now.. those little weld pak 100's are the hottest 110 flux core migs i've ever used. they do a great job. using argon would make it alot easier.... flux core mig welding is a bit more difficult than argon mig welding. Dont know about most people But i like to push the stinger as much as I can rather than pulling or going straight in... makes the puddle wide and stacks it very nice..... Just keep at it and you'll be laying the prettiest stack of dimes around

  • Im sorry but your a really really really bad welder.

  • @ryanloy133 That's what she said to you too when you started! lol

  • with flux core welding it is better to leave a longer arc length, keep the tip of the gun around an inch away from the metal you are welding. and it help to have a fan going across your work area to pull the smoke away.

  • ur "shop" is a fricking dump

  • hey im not tryin to dis on you haha for that thick of metal u should mabey turn ur heat down alil haha

  • ouch

  • First you should get a bottle and ditch the flux core. It sounds like you need to turn your volts up s bit.

  • I'm a farmer too. Dad taught me to weld with an arc welder but been learning to use a MIG this last year which was bought for working on my car with. I've got through about 15kg's of wire now but still an amateur. Your workshop looks similar to ours... crap everywhere! Good luck anyway :)

  • If it your first time welding a good method is to do a stitch weld.

Stitch welds are welds that have nice tacks all along the metal and build up to make a nice ladder. Good and effective

  • nice welder. question are you using gas/oxygen tanks or is it just plug into normal outlet.

Yeah, I'm a noob to welding but just asking.

  • @DALE97DSM you can use just flux core wire and electricity, or you can use solid core wire with argon gas and electric. using argon makes a much cleaner and stronger weld.

  • good god man, clean up your shop :)

  • try a circle pattern when welding you will get a nice weld

  • Do you still own the welder the new Weld pak 3200hd was my first welder

  • I have one. It is a nice welder. I use mine as a flux core.

  • thats a nice welder

  • You need to find out from the guy you bought it from if he did the mig coversion on it. I would assume so since you have gauges. But the weld pak 100 only came with flux core wire, and you needed to buy the mig conversion kit Lincoln K610-1 kit. Flux core splatters like crazy. If you plan on welding sheetmetal for say a tank I wold reduce my wire down to .025 and a blend of argon 75% and CO 2 25% I have this same welder and getting ready to convert it to gas

  • @gaggotgaggot ease up dude he's a farmer

  • As a bunch of people mentioned - the wire you're using needs to be used with a shielding gas such as CO2 or 75% Argon and 25% CO2. Also, you'll need to change the nozzle if you use gas. The black cone shaped plastic at the end of the gun should be replaced with a brass one. I'm new to welding myself so don't give up- you just need to know how to set up the machine correctly and practice a ton. Go to the Lincoln website and download the manual for you machine. You got a good deal so use it well.

  • u need flux core wire mate, the wire u use is a shield gas wire

  • you know that you have the worng wire in the welder thats not Flux core wire oh one orther thing clean your shop!!! its a fire waiting to happen lol

  • @WalkerTreeFarms or some flux core wire and tip

  • Lincoln welders are alot better than Hobart, Lincoln and Miller are by far the best you can buy

  • @GarrettJDB you just said that lincolns were better than lincolns

  • get the .035 flux cored wire and run it on 1/8 material set at c and wire speed at 2 ...up to 1/2 set it to d-2 best wire ive used and its only 10 bucks a lb..

  • to weld a gas tank u need a tig welder it give a air tight weld

  • even the dod is checkin it out lol

  • Nice score, lincoln is a good name welding machine - gas shielded wire works nice - no slag - i looked into buying a tank for my hobart 140 - its like $300 ( gas kit came with the unit) - since i use it little i use the flux core wire. A local boces welding course might help - other then that, practice tons and clean the metal of paint n rust for good contact.

  • u dont have to cut the long wire, just pull the trigger and tap it sideways against wut ur welding at it will burn off, saves time.

  • Man you could always use some gas and see if it works better lmao

    cause that spits man

  • i'v tryed to arc weld maybe like 5 or 6 time and i just plane sucked at it like u wont belive

  • Your welds look like a pile of dog turds, maybe consider welding classes at the local community college.

  • i would get two helmets one xtra dark for arc lens one for the wire.

then mark one ark on from white paint marker

one wire welder marked. that helps on the eyes

  • you dont have to film through welding glass it wont hurt the camera. you need some anti splatter spray or gel to save your nosel and alot of grinding on your work.

  • nice welder bud

  • nice lincoln mig

  • a bolt of co2 and grinding the surface will get you going better than that , i remember the first time i forgot to turn the gas on it looked like a lazer from star wars

  • @bone1050 same here, i use a co2 and argon mix, it is like 25% and 75%, definately need to grind surface, it will pull the rust up into your weld and burn through or splatter bad.

  • oh btw that isnt flux core wire u need gas for that its just regular steel wire

  • @MrGiantstpss yea flux is usualy a silver wire loll

  • @MrGiantstpss Yepp and by the looks of it in the vid it´s even copper/nickel alloyed steel wire.

  • thats a good little welder for hobby welding. and ur gonna like the mig it's like using a hot glue gun. and hobart sucks my friend has one and hates it cus its hard to buy parts for.

  • cool I have the same welder they work very well for thin stuff but when you weld thick stuff your still gonna want your arc welder

  • Hey man, I have the same Lincoln, and I have an older garage with older wiring too. The Lincoln welds much better when I run it off the house wiring or in the garage I use a generator. The garage isn't that bad, but I used the welder in a field one day and noticed it had a lot more heat and penetration on a generator. For what its worth, and hey nice score dude.

  • i hope it works well 4 u gimma a shout out in the next vid i would realy like it

  • Now Chuck, lets please not have a repeat of last years welding incident.

  • @thedekester18 .... Hot metal in the OTHER eye would even out his vision so they're both blurred...

  • @vidman008 That is very true.

  • @WalkerTreeFarms

    Lol shush... Haha...

  • @ChuckE2009 he is right, it will make ur welds last longer and lay out nicer

  • @ChuckE2009 i was going to ask you if that was flux core wire as it dose not look like it. Its more of a silver color.

  • Thanks for the Shout Out via the Rubber Boots... That welder was a good deal for sure... Hope it works well for you.

  • i would have passed that guy in the truck right away, you have a lot more patience than i do lol theres no excuse for going that far under the speed limit!

  • Now I could not really see how you were welding but I remember my shop teacher telling me to go up and down at decently slow pace while slightly moving to the right for a nice weld. and if you see it getting to how move faster.Adjust the speed so it makes you comfortable when your just pissing around.

  • me to i alwas check craigsllist every day

  • i would like to find one for that price
