SHAME on Kibaki for taking kenyans for a ride. This is not about political games. Its about fighting corruption. Take the bull by its horns if graft is to end in Kenya. As a kikuyu I feel the pain that fellow kenyans like John Githongo felt when they learnt how Kibaki is not interested in fighting corruption as detailed in "it's our turn to eat" book.K enyans must not take Kibaki seriously whenever he utters empty words that he is fighting corruption.
And Kibaki 'kitchen' ought to understand by him acting this way he gives Raila more political confidence to kenyans other than what they thought was undermining him.
An election before 2012 would clearly be Justice to the Kenyans even if we never put it into practice. I know understand why 'sir Njonjo' the duke of Kabete never trust General kiguoya.
We now choose between Kibaki and Raila:- who among them is a custodian of public resources? Who is the shop steward of crooks? There is no way they can have it both ways! Yu can not be the solution and the problem all at the same time!
Gwiitu ni rware, Kibaki is the (key) main man. And only within his power, smthng like these should happen., even if Raila had consulted the president even then!, still! he (Raila) is in no position to do so.
So Samantha7300 from your Kikuyu point of view your telling us Kibaki won the elections and Raila should shut up and let Ruto/Maize and Ongeri runs away with education money,ur proud of that, that money will be hidden abroad then when this fools die wazungus will keep it,Ask Mobutus familly or Abacha of Nigeria etc.eti ulifika form4 kichwa waru
Fighting corruption is not for the faint hearted and Kibaki should stop undermining the efforts and leave the PM to show the way.The 2 ministers have no moral authority to continue sitting in office and pave way for investigation.
@sonative wewe ni matako nusu!!! Raila has not dismissed but suspended the two as a measure to alow for investigation. on the flipside...kibaki has sided with these non=performing old farts ongeri ,karega and ruto---a man with no ethics for public office.Tell kibaki to then fire them or shut up.....since he has the power to do so. i now rate kibaki on equal plater with MOI as far as corruption is concerned--- a total waste of space.
The Kenyan law is very clear on who can fire/sack who. Raila has let power (the little power that he has that is) get into his head. If this guy got executive power, God knows what he'd do. Raila has known all along that Ruto was in one way or another involved in the maize scandal. Why didn't he ask Kibaki to fire him-last year? Raila also knows that Kajwang' has some skeletons in his immigration ministry cupboard. WHy hasn't he upto now asked kibaki to fire him? Stupid man! Raila is a mess!
@SonNative By the way Kibaki and Raila are equal partners in the Coalition. This is what is recognized nationally and internationally. So it is wrong for you to say he has 'little' power!
Raila is behaving like a seven year old boy with a gun. The said boy will roam the homestead looking for someone (read his parents) to kill just because he didn't get the toy he wanted or because his dad disciplined his little cheeky head.
Raila Odinga, just like the lad, is being irrepsonsible. He has very limited power but won't stop until he 'fires' somebody. To fight corruption, we must also follow the law or else it'll come to haunt us. We've seen what Raila can do if he got some power.
Raila acted, his delivery was misinterpreted & led to a catastrophe of sorts. true, he has the power 2 SUSPEND as leader of government business. In the case of FIRING, he has 2 CONSULT. Kibaki was ill Advised, he thought that the ministers had been fired, it led him to act firmly. This issue should have been handled better. I think he should have left the suspension stand as he consults with Raila, then afterwards they agree and lift off the suspension just-fully rather than how he did.
@jumasoo when Kibaki was appointing Mutula Kilonzo Raila was consulted yet the position was for the PNU side.Raila went against the stipulated guidelines of the coalition, then lied that he had consulted the president only to tell us he does not need to.The law says he has to consult and have it written down which he did not do.Raila needs to act smartly even craftly but within the law.
Karuitha Then make sure you Tribesmen dont steal elections again, but assured mkiiba roundi ingine inakuja, why dont you ask why we have a coalition government in the first place,if kibaki won square and fare
@karuitha Yes, they only share power but Raila is power hungry, didn't you see he nominated himself as government leader, today he is suspending ministers, tomorrow he will suspend judges, the day after he will be giving cards to Harambee stars players. I don't trust him
Kibaki stop your chest thumping and do whats right for Kenya, if you have the balls why don't you hold a press conference and state your position instead of issuing statements written by Uhuru. Raila keep working, we have your back....as a matter of fact PNU have it wrong, these minsters have not being removed from office, they are under suspension pending investigation. Stop your paranoia.
all of these cunts are corrupt. i wish i now Osama i'd request him to bomb that parliament when they are all in, an am sure our country would be a better place!
So what it means your nyeusi chimp ass just lost 100 million!!!ur defending them as if you know the accounts this money was wired to!kubafu mshamba wewe, alafu utainua mkono juu utumiwe pesa western union ulipe fees nyani wewe nenda rusha mawe kwenu
@jamojiz I normally use money gram to send money home. But one of this fine days you will find that you cannot wish away the Kikuyu opinion that is if you are Kenyan. Neither do we ignore that of the smallest tribes we have learnt that the hard way. I will not engage in dirty language because it does not make me appear to be more informed or learned. But you may continue to use it
we need another election immediately, and moi to come back and streamline the thieves in the government, i miss mois 1 oclock news about the erand & corrupt bickering ministers
Vile vile Uhuru kenyatta should have also gone for misleading the parliament by altering the budget figures, inflating them and single sourcing passat from cmc that does not deal with passat and taking commission kitu kikubwa, the whole cabinet is rotten with corruption and what kibaki has done shows he condons it, because the back stops with him
I agree with you that Jangili mwizi from Gatundu with even balls to slap parliament on the face, over passats and Typo ERORS should also resign,i know his hidding and keeping quiet but in real sense his running back and forth day n night distabling government,no wonder he always look drunk and sleepy malaya huyo Big THIEVE LIKE FATHER LIKE SON
I still insist that this Government should be be dissolved immediately,If Ruto or Ongeri wants PM also to resign for what his ps & omondi did , then they are not sincere, Ruto is directly mentioned in the report so as Ongeri not odinga , Odinga ha done what was best to let his officers go, like what kibaki & state house did with the officers who procured expensive cars for presidential escott, so kibaki should have also gone because that happenened under his watch
@freegastanker1 lets hope you are a woman if not a lad because i have no doubt in my concious mind you possess on of the uncooth traits. literally if my subordinates have a case to answer does not mean im guilty. Failure of Ruto and Ongeri comply with PM suspension is a total insubordination. Whether your incompetent and moribund father who lives at hill of state house backs it or not. The way is well demarcated its time for Ruto and Ongeri to go kenya belongs to us and not them.
I don't know what your problem is Mr. Githunguri. I'm well known in this forumn for spearheading the fight on corruption. I want all of them to go including Kibaki. Raila, ongerI, rUTO, Kalonzo etc have many issues. we need new leadership.
Freegastanker why throw Raila in that mix if his the one firing thieves!!!!!!!are u abnormal or Raila is your main target!!i know when you talk youthful leaders you mean a young Gikuyu n thats why Mr Typo Eror Uhuru kenyattas name u did not include there
Raila is not God either. His office is implicated through his personal aides. His son was spoted in Southern sudan selling the said maize. There is more to the story. We want to hear what william samoei arap Ruto knows. Raila might end up being worse. And no I'm not abnormal.
Don't get me wrong, both Raila and Kibaki are the same, incompetent leaders, but Raila being the populist he is, saw an political opportunity and grabbed it. One thing I admire about Raila is his balls of steel; he makes those serious risky political moves which somehow work for him. While Kibaki is weak, Raila has qualities of a great leader, but he uses his qualities to get political mileage, which makes him a dangerous individual, dictators are made of that.
Dictators are made but the submissivenes of the society. Who ever thought Moi would be a murderous dictator when he was still the vice president? It is us Kenyans who were singing "nyayo, nyayo..."
Here is how I see it, Raila made a smart and risky political move, and Kibaki fell into the trap. How Kibaki responds to this to get him out of this mess, may either destroy him and /or Kenya or make him.
if raila walked out of this coalition right now, this people wil piss on their pants,,,atleast they are giving him somethin to campain for come 2012,,,i can't wait for those big rallies to ask my fellow politician wat they did to fight corruption
bwana mutai! u must b kidding..ati beyond tribe..men bring back ur concience..its as if u think Ruto is bad..do u think Raila is holly..or any other of those politicians..that is kenya..and not US or Europe..kenyan politics is sensitive..so Raila should watch is steps..!
@bethukip, Kenya is extremely tribal, but we have to start stopping the trend, if we have to exist as a nation. I know it is easier said than done, but someone has to take is as a personal responsibility to emancipate our great nation - that person is you, and me!
FOR THE COMING WEEKS, Kenyan BLOGGERS, please be TRUE to your country and lets give constructive non-tribal opinion. Let's see beyond tribe, Raila, Kibaki, Rutto and help save the republic from what is at stake here: The CONSTITUTION. news-flash : there is a current political desire in some high corner to kill the process. FOR the coming weeks the cabinet will be dis-functional, there will be serious political realignment and tribal sentiments will flare up BUT we need to soar above all this !!
I have now completely and finally lost all semblance of respect for this man Ruto. By stating that Raila must first take responsibility for the faults of his men before he can do the same, is he then, admitting that there IS some responsibility that HE needs to take, BUT CANNOT? He plans to vie for presidency AND Is that the kind of man we are expected to elect to lead this nation? Sorry! Rutto, NEVER USE the name of the KALENJINS to cover your naked behind, after u r caught pants down!
ALL well meaning Kenyans, the international community, you and me, support the fight against corruption in the country. Let's see how the Grand coalition will survive when the taps run dry...and this will be sooner rather than later. Ruto and Ongeri should and must step aside; they will be reinstated back if and when they are cleared of any wrong doing.
Raila Odinga should have talked with the main thief Kibaki before flexing his muscles. It now appears this was one sided decision. However, Raila now looks good if kibaki does not end up suspending the main crooks.
this keguoya he´s always sendin his lousy statements bcoz he doesnt hav the balls to face the press kimacho macho but when rucy craks the whip ana harakisha !!!
i dont find it a circus at all wanajitabua wenyewe those who r suspended will start talkin the like of ruto or ongeri n the whole line of PSs at least kenyans will know who is who in the SCANDALS n who to put in mind for 2012
haha. Where are we heading to? It is high time that we have a credible election and we ensure that these ridiculous government is sent home packing. I hope the youth are able to see how these people are just taking us for a ride. Kibaki, Raila, Ruto, Uhuru, Kalonzo and all the power hungry politicians out there. come 2012, i'll truly participate in voting you out. WE NEED A POSITIVE CHANGE! Don't take us for granted. you are destroying our country. y do u want to divide us along tribal lines?
Jamojiz, your comments depicts how uncivilized you are. Raila stop creating Gacaca courts like in Rwanda....lol... yaani u didnt EVEN consult Mutua, the gava spokesman. you tried to call Kibs and Lucy but their phones were busy... it was Valentine's day... u forgot that politikiing.... tihhiiiiihhhh
reminds of that gumzo mitaani guy that said "..ukinigusa nitakugusa.."every politician in kenya lives in a glass house..they are all corrupt & i dont know how they can fish each other out when they are all big sharks.. they only do the natural thing they go for the small fish..lol..this entire drama borders on tragic hilarity..what a circus..kenyans have truly been castrated.. all this hyenas will do the natural thing they will run to their "communities" for refuge & they will vote them in 2012

As a kikuyu I feel the pain that fellow kenyans like John Githongo felt when they learnt how Kibaki is not interested in fighting corruption as detailed in "it's our turn to eat" book.K enyans must not take Kibaki seriously whenever he utters empty words that he is fighting corruption.
mwanamuciare 2 years ago
And Kibaki 'kitchen' ought to understand by him acting this way he gives Raila more political confidence to kenyans other than what they thought was undermining him.
mwanamuciare 2 years ago
An election before 2012 would clearly be Justice to the Kenyans even if we never put it into practice. I know understand why 'sir Njonjo' the duke of Kabete never trust General kiguoya.

We now choose between Kibaki and Raila:- who among them is a custodian of public resources? Who is the shop steward of crooks? There is no way they can have it both ways! Yu can not be the solution and the problem all at the same time!

i will go with the newly crowned Donald Trump Raila Agwambo."Kibaki and your rats you are fired!!"
MrMujama 2 years ago 3
looks that way...voters should have a right to recall these crooks home
siasabora 2 years ago
Gwiitu ni rware, Kibaki is the (key) main man. And only within his power, smthng like these should happen., even if Raila had consulted the president even then!, still! he (Raila) is in no position to do so.
samantha7300 2 years ago
So Samantha7300 from your Kikuyu point of view your telling us Kibaki won the elections and Raila should shut up and let Ruto/Maize and Ongeri runs away with education money,ur proud of that, that money will be hidden abroad then when this fools die wazungus will keep it,Ask Mobutus familly or Abacha of Nigeria etc.eti ulifika form4 kichwa waru
jamojiz 2 years ago
Fighting corruption is not for the faint hearted and Kibaki should stop undermining the efforts and leave the PM to show the way.The 2 ministers have no moral authority to continue sitting in office and pave way for investigation.
mvkuku 2 years ago 4
@sonative wewe ni matako nusu!!! Raila has not dismissed but suspended the two as a measure to alow for investigation. on the flipside...kibaki has sided with these non=performing old farts ongeri ,karega and ruto---a man with no ethics for public office.Tell kibaki to then fire them or shut up.....since he has the power to do so. i now rate kibaki on equal plater with MOI as far as corruption is concerned--- a total waste of space.
kenyanchinese 2 years ago 6
The Kenyan law is very clear on who can fire/sack who. Raila has let power (the little power that he has that is) get into his head. If this guy got executive power, God knows what he'd do. Raila has known all along that Ruto was in one way or another involved in the maize scandal. Why didn't he ask Kibaki to fire him-last year? Raila also knows that Kajwang' has some skeletons in his immigration ministry cupboard. WHy hasn't he upto now asked kibaki to fire him? Stupid man! Raila is a mess!
SonNative 2 years ago
@SonNative By the way Kibaki and Raila are equal partners in the Coalition. This is what is recognized nationally and internationally. So it is wrong for you to say he has 'little' power!
2190g1 2 years ago 4
Raila is behaving like a seven year old boy with a gun. The said boy will roam the homestead looking for someone (read his parents) to kill just because he didn't get the toy he wanted or because his dad disciplined his little cheeky head.
Raila Odinga, just like the lad, is being irrepsonsible. He has very limited power but won't stop until he 'fires' somebody. To fight corruption, we must also follow the law or else it'll come to haunt us. We've seen what Raila can do if he got some power.
SonNative 2 years ago
Raila acted, his delivery was misinterpreted & led to a catastrophe of sorts. true, he has the power 2 SUSPEND as leader of government business. In the case of FIRING, he has 2 CONSULT. Kibaki was ill Advised, he thought that the ministers had been fired, it led him to act firmly. This issue should have been handled better. I think he should have left the suspension stand as he consults with Raila, then afterwards they agree and lift off the suspension just-fully rather than how he did.
jumasoo 2 years ago
@jumasoo when Kibaki was appointing Mutula Kilonzo Raila was consulted yet the position was for the PNU side.Raila went against the stipulated guidelines of the coalition, then lied that he had consulted the president only to tell us he does not need to.The law says he has to consult and have it written down which he did not do.Raila needs to act smartly even craftly but within the law.

Rameny100 2 years ago 2
@Rameny100 Ask even God to resign now because it also happend under his watch. We know where the maize saga ends, it ends in South Sudan.

The way is well demarcated its time for Ruto and Ongeri to go kenya belongs to us and not them.
githunguri2003 2 years ago
I don't know what your problem is Mr. Githunguri. I'm well known in this forumn for spearheading the fight on corruption. I want all of them to go including Kibaki. Raila, ongerI, rUTO, Kalonzo etc have many issues. we need new leadership.

Freegastanker why throw Raila in that mix if his the one firing thieves!!!!!!!are u abnormal or Raila is your main target!!i know when you talk youthful leaders you mean a young Gikuyu n thats why Mr Typo Eror Uhuru kenyattas name u did not include there
jamojiz 2 years ago
Raila is not God either. His office is implicated through his personal aides. His son was spoted in Southern sudan selling the said maize. There is more to the story. We want to hear what william samoei arap Ruto knows. Raila might end up being worse. And no I'm not abnormal.

HeshimaJameni 2 years ago
Don't get me wrong, both Raila and Kibaki are the same, incompetent leaders, but Raila being the populist he is, saw an political opportunity and grabbed it. One thing I admire about Raila is his balls of steel; he makes those serious risky political moves which somehow work for him. While Kibaki is weak, Raila has qualities of a great leader, but he uses his qualities to get political mileage, which makes him a dangerous individual, dictators are made of that.
dmulx 2 years ago
@dmulx
Dictators are made but the submissivenes of the society. Who ever thought Moi would be a murderous dictator when he was still the vice president? It is us Kenyans who were singing "nyayo, nyayo..."
HeshimaJameni 2 years ago
Here is how I see it, Raila made a smart and risky political move, and Kibaki fell into the trap. How Kibaki responds to this to get him out of this mess, may either destroy him and /or Kenya or make him.
dmulx 2 years ago
if raila walked out of this coalition right now, this people wil piss on their pants,,,atleast they are giving him somethin to campain for come 2012,,,i can't wait for those big rallies to ask my fellow politician wat they did to fight corruption

FOR the coming weeks the cabinet will be dis-functional, there will be serious political realignment and tribal sentiments will flare up BUT we need to soar above all this !!
dmutai 2 years ago 3

@dmutai Very sober thoughts here. Good post

Raila Odinga should have talked with the main thief Kibaki before flexing his muscles. It now appears this was one sided decision. However, Raila now looks good if kibaki does not end up suspending the main crooks.

Jamojiz, your comments depicts how uncivilized you are. You are too tribal to face the facts. view things from a non partisan and non tribal perspective. people lost their lives because of them and many more continue to suffer. Raila exercised his powers correctly by SUSPENDING (not firing). Kibaki on the other hand was ill advised and acted CRAFTILY. All in all, they should stop their power 'wars' and act together to ensure the unity of the people. GET IT!
