hey this video helped alot but i have a question we have a small band practice room in the basement of a house u think we can cover the room so they can't hear up stairs and in the other rooms that r in the basement because our drummers dad has a office by the band room. what do u think we should do?
Audimute is never going to totally 100% stop all the sound. one thing I done was I lowered my ceiling by about 2 foot, i filled the space up with as much fiberglass insulation as I could and then on the outside I use the audimute product. In total this stopped about 40% of the sound.
Very imformative. But, one key thing we need to know is how many DBs did the sound absorption/proofing attenuate? Going to the other side of the wall, the loudness dropped from about 100 dBs to 65dBs, but how much did it drop from 100 dBs when you didn't have the sound absorptions?
Hey awesome vid dude thanks for the information. iv been looking into to audimute for a while now. u said it cost a bout 600 bucks to do your room but how big is ur room? im using my garage as a studio and its 20x20. do yu think itd b worth it?
Would you suggest buying this for my 11 by 18 foot room? I use the room for jamming with a drummer, bassist, keyboardist and gutiarist/vocalist. I also like to do some simple demos in there. The room comes out to be 195 square feet of wall space. Please tell me what you think.
whats the mm size of the peacemaker and how many layers of audimute? question- if your talking loud and what not and some one tries listening in will they be able to hear anything? (i have noisy parents)
Hahahaha yeah man i need to do that to my garage cuz this neighbor started to complaint and i really want those sheets, but once i do that am gonna be blasting the whole day man...Keep on rockin' man!!
Great post. It's hard to believe that walls provide 1% sound barrier. Not to be a jerk, but until you show the decibels outside before the sound treatment, you haven't proven anything. I'm still a little disappointed in the results. Even a 50% reduction in sound transmission would get the cops called on me.
If 50%+ reduction isnt enough for you then obviously this isnt the product for you. you can get professional sound proofing at a higher cost or buy yourself a good pair of headphones :)
Hey bud.......the same thing happened to your video that happened to mine for this contest. You tube is having major problems with their servers for the last month. View counts are frozen and videos become suddenly unavailable. I hope yours comes back....mine did not and I am not re-posting it...for the fifth time....good luck in the contest bro......your drum kit is killer......
Thanks man, I've noticed that the view counter is frozen the past couple of days, which sucks. Hopefully you tube will show ur vid again man. Let me know if it comes back
I got the same thing in my garage for my band. First we did not get enough sheets for the size of the garage. Once we did, we got same results. I didn't use a sound meter, but the neighbors and the cops don't bother us anymore. I guess that is proof enough for me. There's a dude who is a drummer at the company who helped us. Very cool ppl and no one could touch the price. Nice kit too dude.
I Think it would. I cant say for sure. If you were to e-mail Audimute I'm sure they would help you out with that one. I just wanted to make extra sure that the noise was blocked as much as possible :) I think both work really well together
Hey man! Great video, I'm going to order Audiomute for my rehearsal place soon, so maybe I'll make similar video. And maybe we'll gonna play something from Metallica for you;) Something older and faster. To show how the sheets really work :) hehe
audimute really rocks!
nice video to show us how well the product actually is

Which panels did you use, the 3.2mm or the 6.4mm?
One or two layers?
Thank you very much!

Before the soundproofing it didn't drop if it was 100db inside, u'd hear 100db outside :)

Granted, it's amazing that a little rubber and cloth could kill 50% of sound.

Do you think the sheets would have any effect for soundproofing if you haven't use Peace maker under it?
