  • Thanks for posting, John. Guess what? I'm so excited - I just got my VRT350 today!! Your videos have been very informative and helped guide us to the purchase we made.

Also, thank you for your "juice offs". They give us a clear view as to how each of the juicers work, w/ their pros and cons. And...thanks for suggesting the documentary "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" - its was so inspiring!!! I'm beginning my juice "feast" in a week. Wish me luck. : /

    Cheers!

  • I've always had trouble with celery partially plugging up the machine, even when I sliced it thin, so for a few days I said "no more celery". Then I had an epiphany; use a mandoline. You can use an adjustable mandoline and get those celery sticks to a consistent, thin slice. This occurred to me two days ago and I've sliced those celery sticks into oblivion and not had any more problems with celery.

  • Can a juice be store for next day?

  • I recommend drinking the juice right after its made for the highest benefit. I also recommend using the freshest produce (which is home-grown). You can save it easily a day if you need to do this.

  • What if I buy baby spinach? Do I have it cut that up?

  • you do not have to cut up baby spinach, but I highly encourage you to alternate juicing the spinach then a carrot, then spinach then carrot, etc.

  • I have owned both the Omega 350VRT and the 8004. I ended up returning the 350VRT for the 8004 because the 350VRT produced way too much pulp and foam, even when I chopped up greens and other produce like John shows in the video. Chopping everything that fine also greatly increases the time it takes to juice. The 8004 produces much less foam and pulp than the 350VRT and it actually takes me less time to juice using the 8004 because I don't have to chop up everything so fine. Go with the 8004!

  • I need help, I need a juicer that I can use everyday and will juice everything but not ridiculous expensive, thanks

  • please see

which may be of further assistance.

  • hi, i really appreciate ur video as they are very informative and of great use. i have a question for you about aloe vera. i am currently residing in antigua one of the caribbean islands. here aloe grows everywhere and abundantly. would it be a bad idea to take it, to use in a juice?

  • You can juice it. Just use a small bit ALONG with other fruits/veggies. I blend orange juice with aloe, thats my favorite way to consume it.

  • @rawfoods my other question is: do u juice it with the green layer on or do u peel that off first? also do u wash it after peeling to get the slime off or is that not necessary?

  • you can juice aloe with the green part on, it will make your juice more bitter. If you peel off the green, then you can juice the clear part only.

  • I love your videos. You helped me choose my juicer, I chose the Omega 8006. I plan on juicing lots of greens and other veggies, and blend (I have a Blendtec) fruits.

  • I run ~0.5 - 1 cup of chilled filtered water thru the Vert after the last piece of vegetable is used. It helps get all the juice out of the machine and results in less clean up afterward.

  • Thanks, very informative....and yes we are like a juicer! :) Love that you can be serious but still have a sense of humor. FYI, and I say this with love, and as a mother, you don't need to use the top button on your shirt. :)

  • Great video!

  • I have the hurom juicer....(the same thing..lol) and tried this today. MUCH better!

  • Thanks I brought my omega because of you I will try this :)

  • John, is that just an 8 inch strainer with a one quart pyrex cup??? Is thier a specific strainer that will work better then others with this juicer??

  • No specific strainer is needed, I just want to walmart, target or an Asian market and purchased a strainer.

  • What i like to do is put the juice back in the machine, it always comes out better.

  • i love this juicer john!! i watched alot of your videos and used all of your instructions on how to juice, especially the celery. i split it down the middle before i chop it like you do. i use at least 3 large cucumbers (they help give more yield) a long with my greens and alottttttt of carrots as well with the greens,i make 2 to 3 QT's at a time so it wont be so bad with all the prepping and cleaning & i have enough green juice for about 2 days.

  • As usual very informative, answered a question I just asked you in email an hour ago. Got to cut my kale more too. Thanks John!

  • CONGRATULATIONS JOHN!!! On your 1000th posted video!!

  • These vids are super helpful, thanks John!

  • This is so healthy I can't handle it!! =P I actually like to dilute my greens down a bit more too and I actually add MORE ginger. I'm weird. But it's delicious.

  • DIce celery into 1/8" pieces?

    Bummer.

  • seems like every video is about the VRT. Lemme know when another 8xxx video is posted.

  • The VRT is currently my favorite juicer, and I have seen its required to make extra videos about it to help people learn to use it correctly. The 8004 / 8006 is a "no brainer juicer" just stick stuff in and it juices, no special techniques necessary. I will make a few future vidoes with the 8004 style machine soon, as for some uses, I do prefer it.

  • Aahhh John I think that you read my mind. Thank you for this! I just bought this VRT 350HD from you for Christmas, and then I realized I accidentally missed your video saying that the other Omega is better for juicing more veggies so I felt like I messed up and made the wrong choice. Now I can try to juice more veggies with my VRT 350HD. Thanks!!

  • Sounds like the smoothies I whip up in my vitamix... if I just strain off the pulp from the vitamix - will I get the same type of juice as the VRT? I know it will heat it up a bit more than the VRT will.. but not thinking about that - will the juice be equal? Thx again!!

  • If you blend in the vitamix (and add water) and then strain, you will get a watered-down juice. The blender runs at high 37,000 rpm and tends to oxidize the produce much more than an 80 rpm juicer, although it will work. I always suggest "the best tool for the job" which is what my grandfather told me.

  • We have been juicing faithfully everyday since I bought my vert juicer from you in October. We juice: 1lb spinach 2" diameter clump of italian parsley 1 large cucumber 2 and 1/2 stalks celery (grocery store stalks = shorter) 1 inch ginger root 2 peeled lemons 15 apples 5 carrots and on occasion some beets Obviously this makes a bunch of juice, for 4 people we all get a little over 30oz each.
  • Thank you, your videos helped me get the most out of my 350.
