Tsubasa had Sakura and the gang traveling to dimensions where they meet AU versions of pre-existing CLAMP characters/series. In this OVA we meet AU versions of the characters from X/1999. :)

Its Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, OVA. And and FYI, this is after the series, but the Anime has been placed on a hiatus, I'm not sure if CLAMP has decided to continue with the animation since it was straying from the original manga. I do recommend reading the manga first though.

No, Fai isn't going to die, He'll become a vampire after he losing his eye but the clone of Shaoran will die and after this boy's death the eye returned to Fai and he became human again

Fai gets attacked by the clone of Syaoran, and he is badly injured. He gets his eye hurt, thus the eyepatch, but anyway, he is so badly hurt that Yuuko (dimensional witch) says that their's only one way to save him, and so Kamui, the vampire takes some of his blood and Fai has to drink it, but they mix it with Kurogane's blood so that Fai will only drink Kurogane's blood after he changes. And so, later that night, Fai changes into a vampire after a very painful transformation.
