That's what kind of sucks thoug...I think it could pick up in the US but everyone is so scared to either 1 do it or 2 admit they like it and risk having people say they are weird for it. That's what's so cool about the fashion in JA is that everyone for what ever reason just started doing it "extreme fashion" and it has just been like that ever since. It is Ganguro, it just looks like you are Yamanba because you have browner skin. But from what I can see the Yamanba is a lot wilder looking and I would venture to say even darker skin than you have. It's almost like a dark african skin color with the panda eyes and lot and lots of hair. At least that's what i got from my research.

I must say, Ganguro is cute, but it doesnt look too good in real life. Unless you do it perfectly. I mean, some of the ganguro looks are horrible because a) they were done crappily, or b) the photo is horendous quality. Professional makeup and professional photography is really the only way to really show this style off.
