  • To be honest, i dont like you with bangs :/

  • Your hair was so nice like this. You should get bangs again.

  • I luv how you talk about frugstore products instead of allt eh high end products that no one can afford! :)

  • @ihearttheworld03 i know like who can afford 50 dollars for a lip balm where i can get one for like 2 dollars at a drug sore

  • I LOVE UR HAIR U LOOK REALLY NICE WITH BANGS

  • I also like the Colorstay palettes.. My most favorites though currently are Inglot & Wet N Wild - though I think I need to re-try out Covergirl Eyeshadows, I used to use them when I was younger & they were fine, I just have never really went back to them for some reason (too much to try out I guess?)

  • Can I please make a request?! Would you be able to do a look like the one Carrie had the day of her wedding on Sex & the City? I'd really appreciate it.

  • your hair is adorable! :)

  • this hair style make you look younger!! sweet!! ^_^

  • can you do an updated one of these?

  • oh sorry, I'm talking about the 9 eye palette from cherry culture.

  • @brightman73 Kleancolor

  • Emily, I couldn't find this at cherry culture. What is the brand name?

  • HI! Emily..you can use flat iron to style your bang...put it direct to your bang then bring it to the side that you want..:D

  • whats the brand of the 3rd one you showed? the matte one? sorry i couldnt understand

  • Bee Luscious Signature Shadow Quad in Naturalist

  • help. i dont understad hat brand is the quad hit the floers...

  • Emily, this is such a fantastic video! I watched it when it first came out, and i am watching it again. Is there anything else you would add to the list now that it is a little bit later? I just favorited :-D

  • My sister-in-law drew my name for christmas this year. She asked if there was anything in particular that I wanted and I told her the coastal scents 88 warm palette. I have wanted this for awhile now and just have not placed the order. I think it is a great gift idea and will be exactly what I wanted!

  • The best tip I can give for the fringe would be to blow dry them in the opposite direction until they're almost dry and then part it to how you usually wear it and blow dry it that way. :] You can smooth it if you don't think it's straight enough. It keeps them put, even if you have a cowlick. Hope this helps! It's how I was taught at school.

  • Very informative. Love your makeup here :)

But what do you think of the Sephora holiday makeup palettes? Worth getting for a possible gift idea?

  • sometimes they aren't the best quality even though it is a good price. I would test it at the store before you purchase it..

  • i looooooove golden sunset! i use it every day! ahaha

  • hair wax, tiny tiny tiny amount works best for controlling my bangs, I put some in the rest of my hair for control then use what's on my fingertips for my fringe.

  • do you think that the sephora holiday magic ultimate palette is a going to be good quality?

  • Always great! listening to you is fantastic, cause you have a so nice accent...easy even for non english speaking people like me! Love your videos!

  • Great and informative video, you always do a great job. Don't pay attention to insulting and rude people such as Mattbbessy01 who insults you, compliments you and then ask you a question...are you serious? Keep doin what you do...Do You Boo....lol

  • As per your recommendation, i went out and bought the Maybelline shadows in Chai Latte! I am soo excited to try them out, they look stunning the pans.

  • Love the bangs=)

  • I use a styling wax on my bangs. It controls them and gives shine!

  • great collection!.. thanks emily. cheers =).

  • i love ur videos, but you talk to much no offence

i like your make up today so pretty

    what blush are you wearing?

  • i love your videos! :)

  • OMG - You look so pretty in this video. Yes ... love the bangs too!

  • please post the items you talk about in the sidebar-- it woud make it easier if we wanted to purchase them :)

  • For my bangs I first use a very light styling cream to keep them from flying everywhere. My bands are blunt and right on my brow bone too, so they tend to want to spread out and not be even like I want them to be. Not too much styling gel because that can lead to a greasy effect. Then I apply hair spray on my hands and gently wipe it over the bangs. If I want to side sweep them, I do the same, but .. sweep them to the side with more hairspray concentrated on the edge.

  • I love your bangs and makeup.

  • i love your makeup here. and the bangs are cute

  • i have the 88 warm palette and OMG i'm in love!! i feel like i'm set...eyeshadow wise, lol. and i've already said this, but i LOVE your bangs!!

  • I love the bangs - mine are cut the same with a razor! I like to use Paul Mitchell Wax Works but you can also buy the GVP Wax from Sallys (its the comparable product) -They both work great! Hope this helps!

  • I love your bangs!

  • I can't find that Kleancolor 12 shadow palette anywhere; apparently cherryculture doesn't have it anymore. Anyone have any suggestions where else it might be sold?

  • i absolutely love KLEANCOLOR eyeshadows i have all their palettes

  • The Lab from Paul Mitchel is awesome, its kind of a wax type product and I love it. That's what I always use on my customers that have the side bangs. Love your vid's :)

  • could you do one on beginner's must haves?!

  • I love your vids! I have a request may you please do a shopping list ideas vid? In need of some winter makeup. Thanks! :)

  • that bee luscious quad looks amazin

  • Emily...wonderful video! Would you please tell us what eye shadow (brand and color combination,) that you have on in this actual video?

  • I better go get that Covergirl Trio! :o)

  • what u do is when u wet ur hair (at night) u let ur hair dry as u sleep

and before u sleep pin them to the side

and when u sleep they naturally stay like that so they get used o staying like that or u can do this with dry hair

    or

if your staying home all day just pin them like that all day and night if ur not going anywere then there fine they'll stay

    love your channel:)

  • Emily I just love your vids its so helpful!!!

yeee i hv the coastal Scents W P:))

  • Veru useful video, thanks- I am so tempted by the coastal scents pallette!!

  • I love how your bangs draw attention to your eyes because you are so good at doing eye makeup and your eyes are naturally beautiful :) I've had issues with bangs so I'm curious to see how you style them as they grow out!

  • can u list the 6 palettes in the bar on the right?? i watched it, but forgot some of them

  • bobby pin them to the side (as in your bangs) during the night and they will stay put. i had to do that when my bangs were cut to short

  • I use hair palmade and put it at the part of the bangs! =]

  • your mom rocks! super cute bangs, and perfectly suited to your face.

  • at night put a bobby pin in the night holding them how you want them to stay and after a while they will stay that way

  • You mentioned wanting to keep your bangs put. I have tight curls and I need to straighten my bangs out. And to do that, I usually straighten them sideways. So just part your hair like normal and instead of pulling the iron straight up, just pull it sideways. Or blowdry sideways and just spray on some of your spray. Should stay that way till your next wash. Works for me.

  • Emily you're so pretty , what is your ethnicity ?

  • Great video, very informative, i like you reviews very much, you describe the product and suggest how to use it in a simple way. Good job and keep them coming.

  • RE : Bangs bobby pin it to the side for a while there and that will do the trick then it will be trained to stay put for the rest of the day or night lol.

  • Great hair and super video! Thanks so much again!

  • I really like the coastal scents 88 palette too. It has so many colors in it that you have a wide selection to use everyday. I am the type of person who likes change. I don't wear the same colors everyday, so I really like all the choices in this palette. Plus the price is so good! Thanks for the review! Love your bangs!!

  • can you show us the picture behind you!!! i'm curious!!!!!

  • i believe that she showed it in a previous video. Im not sure which one it is. hope that helps : )

  • A good way to make your bangs stay where you want them is the part them and them blowdry them in the direction you want them to be in, and then spray some light hold shine spray on them to set them. Also, if you want them to be piecy or really see those razored ends, use a flat iron and that helps too! :)

Love your videos, take care :)

  • Hair wax is great to keep your bangs separated out. Great video!!

  • i'm surprised you didnt mention your wet n wild sand castle palette.

  • use hair wex for bangs

  • First of all, love the bangs, you look lovely. Great video, I have many of the palettes you show and enjoy them all. Got the Kleancolor one back then when you first introduced it to us and it's one of my favorites -- like you said, great for traveling. I might get a back up, can't beat that price. Thanks for another awesome video Emily.

  • You hair looks really thick. I bet your mom could razor out a bit more and that would make whatever you style with, easier/hold better. When I cut I brush them with my fingers in the desired style direction to thin them out. I use small scissors to make almost mini layers in the bangs. It is alot easier to style that way. Kinda reminds me of how the sides of hair can just be lumpy when you need a trim if you have really thick hair and need more razor and snipped out.

  • Pantene makes a spray wax. I spray it on my fingers and then finger-comb my bangs/hair into place. It's not as thick and goopy as a typical wax. Hope that helps!

  • Great As always:)

  • Thanks for another great review....lots of good ideas...........

  • Hey Emily for the bangs try some pomade or some styling wax! Just use a tiny amount and smooth it through ur bangs

  • you don't like the 28 neutral palette from cs?

is the warm palette better? thanks

  • So I know this is gonna see so random but I had to just say it. You totally remind me of a brunette Katherine Heigl. =)

  • it takes 5 yrs off! not that you looked older, it just really gives you a youthful aura!

  • hair wax & no does not look waxy. ony need little bit.

  • delightful-i will be checking out that matte quad

  • after you wash your hair, part the bangs where you want them and blow dry them while holding the bangs to the side you want. I have always done that and has worked all the time.

  • i can't get it to load.. ='( i tried yesterday and it kept freezing.. then it wouldn't load at all.. tried again today and absolutely nothing.. it won't even work on your facebook page.

  • i'm not having problems with any other videos...

  • your hair looks really cute, i love it =) is this your natural hair color? it's really pretty. i wish my mom was a hair stylist, lol.

  • gorgeous, can you tell me what blush you are wearing in this vid, thank you

  • omg i really really really really LOVE ur bangs....u look great as always!

  • love your bangs! love your make up in this video! :) .... i was contemplating bangs too

  • Great video and palette ideas. Love your bangs!!!

  • I BLOW DRY MY BANGS TO THE SIDE W/ A ROUND BRUSH & WHEN THEY DONT WANT TO COOPERATE I USE A tiny tiny BIT OF HAIR WAX

  • wow u look really pretty girly! the bangs are awesome!

  • hey emily! i always put my bangs to the side before i go to bed with a clip it helps a lot and my hair stylist actually mentioned it to me! also if you shower and everything in the morning you could put a pin in for a little bit and let it dry while you do you make up!

  • the most golden color in the chai quad is my favorite. i have it in another palette from that company and it's my dupe for mac's goldmine.

  • I love your bangs. I blow dry my bangs using a vent brush to the side. sometimes I get little crazy hairs that dont like to go to the side and I will use a tiny bit of paul mitchell's super skinny serum (smaller than a pea amount) then i will just hairspray it if it doesnt stay. I like the serum it doesnt make you hair look greasy

  • Hey Emily please don't let Some peoples negative comments bother you. Some people can't just be happy. Lol great video!

  • Thanks for the info. It looks like I have some more palettes to buy! Yay more makeup!<3

  • yeah yay for more makeup!!! =]

  • for the bangs, I make mine stay put with a bobby pin when its wet. While I blowdry my hair I leave it in the bobby pin and then comb my bangs to whatever side and I blow dry my part to help make it stay. This way if you want them to be on that side for a significant amount of time that's how I do it. Ps What blush are you wearing?

  • I basically use styling products and hairspray only on my bangs to make sure they stay where I want them to. I absolutely have to blow dry them otherwise I have a natural part in the middle... that I hate!!! My mom used to call it a "cow's lick" LOL!!

  • you are my favorite guru to watch. your videos really do have important and helpful info. hope you have a good holliday season

  • you always have the best ideas for new videos emily!

  • i wish my mom was a hairstylist lol u lucky. by the way, have u heard about the FTC disclaimer thing?

  • a great tip to keep your bangs parting where you want them (assuming you are trying to change to a new part line) is to put a little extra hold gel in it and part it where you want then go to bed and sleep with it parted and held by the gell, after about 2 weeks your hair will start to naturally part in that direction

  • Love you bangs! Your vids are so helpful!!! You are so pretty!

  • blow dry them when it is damp

  • thts the same with my mom like wen u say my mom does my hair ive had ppl be like umm y? an im like o she used to work in a salon lol

  • I mean YOU have to train your bangs haha

  • I have to train your bangs haha. Sleep with a bobby pin in your bangs? Blow dry them the way you want it? Hair product work but you just have to give it some time to stay put :P

  • Your bang is banging! And please, please, tell us the name of the blush that you are wearing.

  • i use aveda Smooth Infusion (style-prep smoother) and Aveda Confixor liquid gel with morikue protein and i put that in my hair after i get out of the shower! and i love them i use all aveda products in my hair.

  • I love your blush, can you do a tutorial on it? It looks great. Bangs make you look older, in a good way. Very "grown up." I like it.

  • You are so pretty!! Love your makeup in this video. I really like the bangs too

  • i just ordered the CS warm palette love it

  • i love the new hair

  • I use Aussie Aussome Volume to keep my bangs in place, its so amazing:D and not heavy at alll and gives the perfect hold.

  • OMG LOVE THE LOOK YOU HAVE ON NOW.....tutorial plleaase :)

  • Lol my mom has used that CG- Golden Sunset e/s since I can remember, Ill hafta try it out =)

  • its all about how ya blow dry your bangs. trust me, if you blow dry them to the side, it helps a lot =) and I also "train" my bangs.. days that i dont go anywhere I will bobby pin them to the side =)

  • loving the blush-- what are you wearing on your cheeks!! we must know lol :) ps love the bangs :)

  • I Love Your New Bangs Emily ..Very Chic!! Keep Them!

  • your eyes look great! what's on them? and your blush is divine in this video. what'd you do?

  • well i think your bangs look so cute :)

  • oh my god i LOVE UR BLUSH! what is it?

  • Awesome hair!

And I LOVE neutral eyeshadows! My faves! =D

    ~Laur

  • ME 2! lol :) Thats the only thin i do everyday :P

  • Pomade or wax works well to control your fringe, just put it near the part of the hair and it will keep it under control :)

  • What colors did you use on your eyes in this video? They look very pretty!

  • Love the eyes...please make a tut on that =) Thanks!

  • You are sooooo BEAUTIFUL!!

I love the bangs on you too!! ♥♥

  • I really love the bang look on you!!! Very chic!

  • i left my 88 warm palette at home and somebody broke it without telling me. so sad =(

  • your makeup is beyond amazing in this video and i really really really want to see a tutorial of this eye shadow combination and makeup please.

  • Im getting the 88 warm pallete for Christmas and I'm rather excited. Thanks for the video. I'm more of a nautral girl myself.

  • My favourite Cover Girl neutral palette is the 3 shade "Shimmering Sands" palette. It's in the bronzey realm of colour. It's really nice to wear anywhere, work, out on the town, etc....

I will have to give the Golden Sunset trio a try though, thanks!

  • just a quick question and kind of comment ! I baught the 88 warm and I love it but I feel that the matte colors show up on me like idk how to explain it but kind of chalky am I not applying these the right way cause when i see your looks they are sooo blended and sparkly ??

Now i am new at makeup but i want to improove my makeup but its sooo expensive lol so i use cheaper brands and drug store

  • I love watching make up tutorials but I would never wear really bright colors. Love the neutral palettes. Very wearable.Love the bangs! They make your eyes look bigger.

  • the coastal scents palettes are the same as the ones found on ebay--they're all wholesale

  • I usually style my bangs by blow drying them the opposite way to make them stay put and give some lift(: Thanks for the reviews!

  • Your bangs look super cute :) They really accent your facial features! :) After awhile your hair will start to stay better, but until then what helped me was running a flat iron through them. A little bit of pomade/texture wax helps keep them in place too. I just get a tiny bit on my finger and run it through them. Great palette recommendations! :)

  • I heard they sell some type of wax to put on hair to keep it in place! thanks for the wonderful video!!!! you are beautiful!!!

  • I love Chai Latte quad. I wear them almost everyday!!

  • One thing that really helps with bangs, is root confusion, and that is when you blowdry them, use a brush and don't dry them in one direction. If you constantly switch the placement and direction the hair doesn't dry into one specific postiion and is more likely to do whatever you want.

  • omg your bangs are so darn cute

  • Here's my tip: After your shower, when you style your hair, make sure you style your bangs right away before they start to dry.

  • There are two easy ways to control your bangs without product:

First being a flat iron, simply straighten and pivot/turn/tilt the iron in the direction you want your hair to go and let the heat set your hair in that direction.

OR use a hairdryer and blow your hair in the desired direction using the roundbrush technique. Hope that helped!

  • I like your bangs. Maybe next time, I'll ask my stylist to do a razor cut! Thanks for the tip.

  • love the suggestions. love the hair. as for fringe control? i find clean living and a positive attitude very helpful :) just kidding. my bangs do what they want and over the years i've learned not to argue with them. it makes life easier. great work, as always. thanks.

  • i couldn't agree with you more about the drugstore palettes that look compairable to 88 palette. i purchased one from my drug store got home and my excitement went down because basically all of the lighter colors where packed with shimmer and they all looked like the same silvery color. Even the pretty darker colors turned out to be chalky and not very workable but i still have it because there are some fun colors but i got what i payed for it which was $10 for 120 over shimmery, chalky colors.

  • to be sure that your bang stays in place the first thing you need to do is:

when u get out of the shower u have to blow dry you hair first right where you want it to stay.

coz the hair has some kind of "memory" so that's my trik

  • hi emily i love the way you did your eyes for this video. love all your videos

  • for models and tv personalities..makeup is always overdone bc the bright lights and camera washes everything out.

  • One way I keep my bangs on the side is I take all my bangs and put a clip on the opposite side I normally place it and I sleep with it.. actually I stay all the time with it and I take it off when I'm going out.... When you have bangs for the fist time they can be a little tricky but then they just going to be OK with the time.. and also trimmed them like every 3 months..... I don't use like an especial product for them.. so I cannot recommend you one.. sorry...

  • Sometimes I would spray some dry wax over my bangs to keep them stay put. Put not too much product,or else your hair will look greasy:)

  • Thank you!!! I love your videos girl!!

  • Emily...I have a video..saved to my favs..I think u would like it...It's called "How to Cut Women's Hairstyles : How to Do Side Swept Bang" and its by Expert Village...is the best one on here..as far as i'm concerned..It's how side bangs should be cut...and not many hair styles haven't a clue how to do it..very few do ...in Ontario...lol..You can probably copy and paste that in the search field on yt ...Thx for the video!~

  • Cont...The way it's shown in the video...and how it's cut...makes the bangs stay there...no need to train them...and they shwo it with long hair..however u can do it with any length..cause i've had them done exactly like that...Actually found a hairstylist that can do it...then i moved..Now try and find one...they look at me like i'm talking foreign...so i leave with bangs i hate...lol..

  • Thanks for doing this video! :)

  • Put a barrette to place your bangs how you want them over night

  • Wow! It's amazing how rude some people are on here. What benefit is it to you or Emily to point out flaws other than to make yourself feel important. There are so many ways to do makeup and if Emily likes hers that's all that matters...if you don't, don't watch DUH!

  • covergirl shimmering sands is nice. I know cover girl shadows kinda suck, but this one is actually good.

  • can u do a video on good drugstore concealers? im trying to buy my first one..but i keep putting it off cuz i have no idea what will actually work.

  • I recommend the maybelline mousse. I really like it.

  • thankss:) i'll check it out

  • i know that this questions has nothing to do with my opinion and you may find rude that i would like to give you my opinion. but, its just that i tried every single concealer on the drugstore and the ones that i like are the revlon blemish concealer for blemishes, and for under eyes i like the revlon beyond natural concealer and highliter, and the cg smoothers concealer.. i hope it helps

  • thanks:)

  • i'll try a couple out thanks for the suggestions:)

  • Emily, I have had bangs almost my entire life and the biggest trick to keeping them up is keeping them trimmed to your desired length. Once they start to grow even a little bit they can become unruly. When I want to do the side swoop I use a little pomade or some other non sticky putty, molding paste thing.

  • hi emily for my side bang i put a clip and and sleep with is at night and then in the morning they dont go on the oppisite side and it helps alot

  • I really have never understood why people feel the need to leave not necessarily "negative" but IRRELEVANT comments... was the title of this video.. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON MY MAKE UP TODAY? NO!!! it was to inform us on great neutral palettes! It's so obnoxious!

Anyway! Great video as always! :)

  • Haven't had bangs in awhile - I'm too impatient w/ them!

  • aww ur hair makes u look so much younger. like ur in h.s. again :-p

  • dont know if this idea is "you" or not but i love using cute kair clips with little plastic watermelons, cherries, hearts etc on them :)

  • wow, u got more comments on ur makeup then on the actual topic of this vid...

  • Great info on palettes. Even if you did have too much blush on - who cares?!!

  • i love your reviews and the fact that you use drugstore makeup!

  • love your video

but in this video you had too much blush....

  • I loved the bangs, niceeee

    You're looking good!

  • Thanks for all the info on these palettes. I've never heard of the brand of the round palette -- was that Be Lucious? Something like that? Is that a drugstore brand?

The bangs are very cute, by the way....

  • The coastal scents one.

  • Emily, I have really fine hair and I have found if I use a little mousse while drying and then put in place with a very light hand with Pomade works wonders HTH :)
