Becasue good ringers deserve good bells and there are some good ringers in Sydney. A mixture of locals and ex Pats.

@irkibby You want a good Aussie ring? Go to the Whitechapel 12 at the Roman Catholic Cathedral (St Mary.) They are an absoloutely OUTSTANDING ring!!

This cathedral reminds me of york minster over here in england so much in terms of the front.

Nice ring of bells if im ever in aussie id love to come and ring there, I have a question just out curiousity which tower are the bells in? and in the other tower are there any other bells, ie chiming/ service bells.

Bells are in the North West tower. The South West Tower contains no bells.

Yes the chuch front does look a bit like York Minister.

Mind you, you the sixe of the towers at York are huge compared to St Andrews, and the ringing room in York Minster is Huge.
