The penelty at 1:54 -1:56, why wouldn't you just decline it and take the T D. Back then pass interference must have stopped the play at the point of the call.

Darryl Lamonica had a 66-16-6 record as as starting qb in the regular season,and a 4-5 record in the postseason. He got his team to the championship game 3 years in a row. Maybe the mad bomber never won the big one,but the NFL's history with a lot of great QB'S who didnt. He was far from being a loser.

@graciemaemarie11 Stabler didn't join the Raiders until 1971, he couldn't have played against Green Bay, New York, Kansas City, or Baltimore.

@graciemaemarie11 Stabler was drafted in 1968 and was sent to play in a semi-pro league because he had a bad knee and wasn't ready to play. He also didn't win the job until 1973. The Raiders lost to playoff teams with superior defenses, be it Green Bay, New York, Kansas City or Baltimore. Stabler also lost to Miami, Pittsburgh twice, and Denver. He was a hell of a passer, but would be in the Hall of Fame if he had shown up for work sober once in a while.

@graciemaemarie11 Aren't you being a little hard on Lamonica? He was a good QB but a lot of QB's didn't do well against the Packers. You are entitled to your opinion, of course. Stabler had a better team around him by the time he joined the Raiders.
