I liked this tutorial, but you forgot to mention the different types of shaking grass there are. There are normal shaking grass, sparking shaking grass, then the shiny patch. Its important to remember that whichever type of grass your first encounter is with the pokemon your chaining is the type of grass you have to run into the whole time, if you go into a different type of shaking grass it will break your chain.

@EdgarNM31 pegar shinys usando esse metodo é bem dificil, mas não é impossivel. primeira coisa - nao se preocupe tanto com os 4x0 4x1 da vida no começo da chain. ache um pokemon bem facil, tipo bidoof, e va na primeira graminha do jogo. se concentre em pegar as graminhas que sejam ou iguais a primeira que vc pegou e veio um bidoof, que estejam separadas das outras, separadas dos cantos da graminha em si, e o mais longe possivel. use regras mais avançadas dps, qdo tiver grande.espero ter ajudado.

Its also good if you have a pokemon that knows False Swipe, because it will always leave 1 Hp left and this is useful when you are trying to catch a shiny with high level pokemon, as any other move would be a 1 hit KO.

@vit2tor Quando chegar a chain no 40, ñ entre mais em nenhuma grama a ñ ser na shiny patch, pq ñ tem como aumentar mais as chances, é só usar o pokeradar outra vez depois de andar + 50 passos, até aparecer a " shiny patch", e acredite, vc vai ter q resetar o pokeradar umas 50 vezes, mas quando a " shiny patch ' aparecer vc vai ver a diferença, só é mais difícil de ver a diferença se vc tiver criando uma chain do beldum ou snover (nunca consegui do snover) :)

@VKzero97 actually it was pure luck, lol. by second chain i mean, it appeared after killing the first staravia, then i saw a shiny patch. i almost pissed myself from excitement. however, since then, i have yet caught any shinies :( and i got the staravia to a staraptor to lvl 61 then stopped training it. i'm not really all that good at all, i'm decent i guess. i get to somewhere mid 30's then it breaks usually. lol. but uhh, one good piece of advice: always go for patches farthest away. mmk

@VKzero97 UNLESS that patch farthest away is right next to another patch. also never enter any patches unless 4 shook. not 3, not 2, not 1, only go into a patch if 4 shook. one more thing: never enter a patch in the direction above, below, to the left or to the right of your character. or diagonally in any direction. there is a higher chance of breaking your chain that way. even with all this knowledge, i still am a rookie at chaining :( it usually ends in disapointment for me

when u are chaining u must never give up.

one time i was looking for a magby with magmarizer, with leafgreen in 2nd slot, and after some hours i met a shiny camerup. one time i was chaining for a buizel, and on the 11th patch, i found it in shiny. this is because i was on the same plase and didnt gived up, and when u have met the same pokemon again and again , u will find it in shiny.
