@akinkhoo I have seen the movie which is intitled 2012. And I know you are talking about that survivors going to China. I was joking in saying Europe is better for survivor of 21/12/2012.
Notice that their bow doesn't drop down after going over the crest of the wave, it just levels out (there's no wave trough). This is because the sea level is actually higher behind the leading edge of the tsunami, due to the massive water displacment. On a normal wave, they would have crashed back down into the trough. It's definately a different kind of wave!
@starchaser28 The problem with Tsunamis isn't just the height of the wave, it's because there's several billion tones of water BEHIND the initial wave. In deep water like this it's not a problem, you just ride out the gently sloping, if high, wave. When the water gets shallower it gets a hell of a lot more destructive.
@starchaser28 As the video explains its a tsunami & a tsunami can b many miles long from its front to the back end & suppose distance between front & back of the wave of 10 miles & tsunami is 10feet high we have to multiply 10feet with 52800 (Amount of feet in 10miles). And then we will know how many cubic feet of water is behind one foot wide part of the wave. & when this wave comes in shallow waters front end slows down & back end keeps on coming & piles up on the front & wave gets 100' high.

Well if the ships in deeper water its much more likely to survive
Having it in the harbor is suicide it will be destroyed on the rocks, roads (if the water is high enough), and other boats
