Can you imagine Batman and Captain Kirk talking to each other? Lots of emphasis and elongation on the vowels without much emphasis on the consonants. I've constantly read that the reason why the original Batman TV series isn't out on DVD is because of legal issues with Fox and Warner Bros.. Fox owns the footage, and Warner Bros. owns the characters. What I don't understand that despite these issues, how did Fox possibly manage to release the 1966 Batman movie on DVD and Blu-ray without the DC logo on the casing?!

@MissesJoker The idea is that the director is trying to depict the Joker in a more authentic form that could very well be happening in the real world.

Also Morgan Freeman is down for three Batman films so I wouldn't be surprised if they fit one of the more classic villains into the third film. Just don't expect them to be 'super' or ridiculous because gritty realism is the focus of the current adaptation.
