im 17 i really want to work at this kind of stuff, i live in Guatemala so there are no good universities at this, so what im doing is learning everything i can from the internet and then work so i can go to an international college
@Gzuw Demo real means that the videos are demos of the actual product. Instead of giving you the entire thing, you only get a taste. Sort of like a commercial on TV (or) a sneak preview from a movie.
They give you a taste of the product to make you want to see more.
In this case, the author has provided you a demo of his past projects from 2001-2004.
Would love to see some updated material, that would be great.
hey i am looking to persue this kind of career, but i was wondering how good the money is in it? does it range from good to bad depending on level of expertiese? thanks man
i dont realli upload all my good stuff atm but i am soon maybe if i send u a message to check it out could u comment for us im not sure how long but ill defo keep in touch
Pratt and SVA are both awesome schools. I have lots of super talented friends from both schools. If I could do it over again I would go to VFS in Vancouver Canada. Just know the difference between a trade schools and a four year. You will get deeper training and experience in a four year like Pratt or SVA. VFS is only a 2 year program.
thanks for the help. but if you say sva/pratt are more intensive (4 years) then y would u want to go to a 2 year school?
im going to choose between one of those two because i want to stay in state, but from what i have heard Vancouver is a really good school as well.
by the way, techincally, what is the major called? because i went through a list of many of them and im not sure what it really is, since there are a few that sound right.
scad in savanah georgia is also a very good school for this type of stuff aswell. and the major is called broadcast marketing i believe. or something along those lines.
Awesome ! You rock you rock you rock !!! :) Did u do the 3d too ? What kind of soft do you use with AE ? Cinema 4, 3Dmax or Maya, maybe Blender ? :D so you 're pretty goog ! Congrats
hey man you are freakin amazing at this stuff...seriously the best. where did you go to school and what was your major? i'm in college right now and still undecided...and i'm thinkin about this field. love to hear back from you...take it easy dude.
I have a question dany. I am very experienced with AFX/Maya/Cinema 4d just curious how well you get paid working with the news? I mean I never went to any kinda schools but I could very well back it up with a reel. Im just curious because id like to look into getting extra work. Seeing if its worth it thanx
Cant answer for Dany but I charge about $500 per day, which is normal for a senior broadcast designer with about 5 years experience. You can charge more but you may price yourself out from many potential clients.
It entirely depends on what market you're working in, whether you're working on a local or national level and who you're working for. Basically, no matter where you are expect the highest pressure, tightest deadline job for the lowest pay you'll ever have in your entire career. The TV industry is for suckers!
he's absolutely right... the Tv business sucks... well.. the NEWS business anyway. They pay crumbs and expect platinum work. Commercial or film production is the way to go.
