  • Merlin was Dumbledore before it was cool.

  • wtf, "as seen on: elderscrolls V:skyrim"

    wtf is this?

I mean, I know the game, I know the vid.

    but really, wtf?

  • Whenever I see Merlin in those bermuda shorts and converse.. I think of Gandalf and Dumbledore wearing the same thing.

Then I hear this song, and I imagine them all wearing bad holiday wear, doing amazing things with luggage and busting out catchy songs.

  • The little sugar bowl is my favorite. :)

  • MAGNIFICENT

  • BRILLIANT, I have move 4 countries and around 10 cities but never so fun :D this video really makes me happy, I wish I could do that. :)

  • most memorabal movie scene of my youth.

  • italian version is better!

  • When anyone says "Merlin," I don't think of the real thing, and I don't think of any live-action movie incarnation of him either. For all eternity, any and all mentions of Merlin send my mind STRAIGHT to THIS Merlin, THIS song, and the fact that he used it to pack an entire house in one carry-on bag.

  • This was how I always saw Merlin; bumbling, comical and flustered!

  • Why can't I do this when packing for college?

  • I love this film <3 I read also the book but it was a bit confusing in my opinion, so I like this film more than the book <3 Just imagine this scene with Colin Morgan as Emrys/old Merlin/ Dragoon the Great (however you prefer to call him ;-)). It would be absolutly hilarious xD

  • As seen on the elder scrolls v??? I bet this'd make Skyrim even more epic...

  • Love this song!!

  • Lets face it fellow YouTubers.....Merlin is clearly an acestor of Dr. Emmet Brown

  • This would make vacation so much easier.

  • this film confused me enormously when i watched it yesterday...... why does he turn into a fish and then a squiral? i dont get it. plus the whole flatulence thing. odd disney film. much preffered lion king. thats a movie!

  • Hermione - eat your heart out. XD

  • My favorite Disney movie! Litterally watched it every night as a kid!

  • how else WOULD you get all that into one suitcase? I wish I had that spell for when I have to move in and out of dorm rooms!

  • Merlin created this spell because he knew how expensive airplane luggage would be in the future.

  • If I was in a magical world I'd have to try this!

  • If only everybody could pack like this..

  • RE-SHELVING DAY!

the art of the to do list...

  • @Xavier478 i see I'm not the only one who got sent here from MLP:FiM :D

  • Thumbs up if you came here because ponies.

  • this was my favorite as a kid. im about to sample it for a beat!!!

  • Me and my brother spazzed out and sang this song to our mom while she was cooking tonight, lol. She sang with us~

  • wish i had this packing capability...

  • also nie mehr schuften bin so reich

  • presta digitonium!

  • Man, this was such a fun part in an already fun movie. The Sword In The Stone is among my childhood favorite Disney movies, as well as one of my favorite Arthurian adaptions, along with Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Excalibur from 1981.

I wish I had a spell like that. That would be very handy. And I don't know why, but I always loved the way this movie was shot, especially when it cuts from Merlin's dancing feet to the fireplace flying though the air!

  • I very much require a spell such as this to shrink my entire room/house and fit it into a duffel bag or something...X-)

  • This is pretty much how I pack. Books first. Then whatever else I need.

  • I reckon they should re-release all these old disney movies again, in full HD, frame for frame, 5.1 (or 7.1) surround sound (mainly for the music scenes) and have all the dialogue the same, animations the same, but... for lack of a better word, 'better'. most new cartoons are no where near as good as the old cartoons, and yet they are using great technology.

  • "See here, Sugar bowl. You're getting rough. That poor old tea set is cracked enough."

  • Take that Physics!!!

  • 1:07, anyone think I should make a gif from Merlin's dancing? Rave style? :D

  • my brother use to tease me when that skull turned he did the same thing in my face

  • Nice.I Actually remember this from when i was a tolder, and I can bearly remember anything from my todlerhood

  • PRESTIDIGITARIUM!

  • does anyone know if Merlin's Staff has a name? And or if he also looked into a pool of water to see into the future?

  • I literally LOL'd throughout this. :P Even though I haven't watched this movie for so many years. This is pure classic! Love this movie!!

  • Sugar boy don't take none from NOBODY.

  • Well at least we know what happened to the bag from Marry Poppins.

  • Now if only ppl could move that way.

  • i love merlin :)

  • i love merlin :)

  • i wish i could do that... moving houses would be a lot easier.

  • All I know is, Dumbledore never says "Hockety pockety wockety wack!"

  • everytime i have a trip i wish i had a merlin or at least new magic!

  • Haha love this song, but what I always didn't understand when I was a kid was, that why didn't the fireplace at the end set fire onto all the books and stuff?

Ah well, the joys of magic XD

  • Hm, that bag must have been made by the Time Lords ;)

  • Six people couldn't get all their stuff into one bag...

  • I wish I could pack my crap like this. All I can do is use my skills from Tetris.

  • @andrielisilien Ever thinking of folding-space theory or some dimensional rift, or the TARDIS?

  • nostalgia trip!!!

  • I learned him this trick...

  • 1:13 I never go anywhere without my giant wheel of cheese!

  • 6 people have problems doing their package

  • Yes. This is the good stuff right here. None of that modern poo.

  • @shasha66999 There is way to much "modern poo" around and it sticks to high heaven!

  • @shasha66999 Shrink in size very small

We've got to save enough room for all

  • i kno w fuckin funny

  • Using this music to pack for college. xD

  • @connordoc3 I'm going to use it in a few weeks to pack at college to head for home. :)

  • @connordoc3 I'll bet it took longer than 1:53 huh???

  • how i play my wizard!

  • It's clear that Disney was hoping for another hit like "Bibbity-Bobbity-Boo."

    Not quite.

And I hate what he did to the source novel. In it, Merlin was a philosopher as well as a magician. Here, he's a bumbling old codger with magic powers.

  • @Sharoney It's clear that you're nothing more than a bitter anti-revisionist who's never had a childhood.

  • HOCKETY POCKETY WOCKETY WACK! Me and my mate always say that, it's too funny! xxx

  • LOL archimedes "WHO hoo WHO hoo" ! :D

  • I totally pack like this all the time :D

  • Wou;dn't it make more sense to put all the heavy stuff in first so that the little stuff doesn't get crushed lol

    This movie is a classic!

  • loved this movie my favorite disney movie, still love it :)

  • Sugar pot was an ass

  • i love that sugar pot.. really xD make me laugh so hard.. and im 17

  • Wart....I mean....Arthur.

  • The suger pot is awsome :D, I want one

  • How could half a dozen people dislike this?!?! they must be boorish bastards with no sense of fun -_-

  • Books are always first... Merlin had the right idea about packing. ^_^

  • I always loved Archimedes the Owl :)

  • "See here, sugar bowl, you're getting rough. That poor old tea set is crached ENOUGH!!" And then the sugar bowl smacks the teapot...LOLOLOL SINCE CHILDHOOD!!

  • Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @LadyHellSongBelikov same lol is it sad that i can remember all this stuff?

  • NOW SEE HERE SUGAR BOYY...haha

  • I Love the sugar bowl

  • fun fact: did you know that the characterization for arthur in this movie was one of the greatest influences on the personality for harry potter?

  • i miss my childhood ! and damn i need one of them wands

  • When it's time to move to my new house, i'm gonna play this in the background while I pack!!

  • i love the part when they zoom in on the owl's face and he's yelling haha

  • Though often overlooked, this Disney movie had quite a few important themes that make it stand out, such as the importance of education. Even the indirect nod to education with the line, "Books first," while Merlin is packing puts a smile on my face. Merlin also used nature to teach Arthur. I love this movie.

  • YEAH!! This is better than High School Musical or Hannah Montana, or any of that DISNEY CHANNEL JUNK!

    My Favorite Disney (classic) pictures:

    Snow White

Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

    Robin Hood (animated)

    SWORD IN THE STONE

Winnie The pooh (Honey Tree, Blustery Day)

    Beauty and the Beast

    Princess and the Frog

  • Merlin > Dumbledore

  • Sugar Boy xD l

  • @maiii0608 LOL! isn't it sugerboul??? haha. it would make more sence. but sugerboy is much more fun i agree! tihi XD "sugerboy you're getting afuly rough, that pour old teset is cracked enough!" (sorry my spelling, i'm swedish :P) and I like the swedish voice for merlin much better, but the english one is great too! :D

  • @flisan88 well yeah might be sugar bowl but i always understood sugar boy and loved it

  • Merlin sung this at disneyland -.-

  • The way the skull turns when he says "I want your attention everything" , just cracks me up every time xD

  • "This is the best part!" I love that he hams it up for Wart.

  • Merlin is such a boss

  • Dumbledores got nothing on this guy

  • 6 people didn't have enough room in their suitcase for everything.

  • Merlin got the bag from Marry Poppins, and years later Hermoine gets it from Merlin!

  • Nowadays in Disney movies all the songs are about like not fitting in, or wanting to be something, or being misunderstood etc. There aren't a lot of songs in the movies for entertainment value and fun. It's like the new movies try to manipulate you into liking the characters by making them sad and misunderstood and making you feel sorry for them were as the old movies focused on good music, animation and memorable characters instead.

  • @skrattkantarellen That is an interesting observation. I agree with what you are saying though. The older movies are just simpler and because of this, more entertaining.

  • @LoreneFaith indeed, disney is supossed to make u feel happy & silly & enthusiasitc

  • @skrattkantarellen Disney's lyrics used to be more grim. Aladdin glorifies having slaves and being rich in "Prince Ali". Disney used to be darker (for the adults who realized what was going on), but subtly hidden behind innuendoes. It was awesome. What message does Aladdin have? To be a thief and a liar with lots of slaves, gold, power and women is good! Hercules did the same thing in the song "Zero to Hero". 101 Dalmatians was equally dark, Lady and the Tramp? Those were the days. :(

  • @skrattkantarellen i also miss the traditional animation, now that disney is switching over to CGI and 3D, I understand, keeping up with they times and making millions at the box office but Disney....Disney has changed and i'm not exactly pleased with where it has gone(disney channel is at blame for this 50%) but thats just my opinon :)

  • @skrattkantarellen How about Under the Sea, Be our Guest, Friend Like Me, Prince Ali, Hakuna Matata, Topsy Turvy, I'll Make a Man Out of You, Trashin the Camp, etc?

  • @skrattkantarellen I am sorry to say, although I will agree and say I love these movies... more than anything I have seen since the Classics ended, but you have to admit, there motives have not quit. Disney, like any art form, is a static picture in time, reflecting the past. This stuff is just as manipulating as the new stuff is, and they are so good at it that we still cant shake it... This is extreme early century modernist "ideal" and is the reflection on what persuasion is.

  • memories!

  • People this year when the film opens Winnie the Pooh must go to the cinema to see the movie to get a good result with the public. And Walt Disney Animation Studios can continue to make traditional animation

  • the little sugar cup always cracks me up! especially when its hitting the teapot and gets smashed with the books! rofl!

  • "oh, buddly, duddly, duddly dum, this is the best part now" lol :-)

  • BUMBLING BLOCKHEAD

  • They dont make disney movies like this anymore

  • I can't believe I don't have this movie anymore! I miss it so much. I'm getting it back!

  • I wish I could"ve cleaned out my storage like that! It took 5 trips to San Diego!!!!

  • "Now don't you go getting the idea that Magic will solve all your problems...Because it won't! -_-" I love Merlin he is so funny I would love him for my teacher and he be great to talk to about problems.

  • They don't make good shit like this anymore:(

  • What did he say to the sugar-pot?

  • @orobusimpoloderius I think he said "See hear sugar, when you get ruff that poor old tea set is trapped enough!"

  • @orobusimpoloderius I think it's "See here sugar bowl, you're getting rough, that poor old tea set is cracked enough".

  • I love the sugar pot and the wolf. They're simply hilarious, and although I'm all grown up now, the slapstick comedy in this still makes me laugh!

  • I love the bit in the movie where they're squirrels and that fat old lady squirrel is after Merlin XD I think that fact that he's blue just completes it :P

  • I love the sugar! hahaha ...he's such a troube maker!

  • this was my favorite movie in my childhood:D The owl was my favourite character nice to see this after such a long time. i'm sixteen now. even now this is really funny. the nowadays shit from disney sucks very hard compared to this. i feel sorry for the kids of this day and age.

    "Um, 'h-hockey-pockety?'"

  • This is the ONLY Disney movie I like.

  • white magic- pogo

  • the old disney films kick new disney films ass

  • I used to have a desk like the one swarming around Merlin after Archimedes called him "bungling blockhead". It was an antique roll-top desk that we found at my great-grandparents' house. I loved that thing. Pity I couldn't move it with me when I moved out of my house, it fell to pieces.
