i live in taylorsville and me and my friend josh were walkin my neighborhood at like 2 a.m when it jus hit or so and we could here all the trees collapsin..sounded like king kong runnin through the woods!
It was SO scary to hear the trees cracking and falling all night the first night after the storm. We lost power at our house for 8 days, fortunately had family to stay with. The good thing was I didn't find much damage to houses or cars around here, but so much tree damage. :( Hope you all were safe!
Funny thing is, we never lost power. Which I was grateful because I was stuck at work. I agree, it was very eerie.

I honestly think King Kong couldn't have caused as much damage.
