  • I'll buy one, for sure!

  • Well you see in the states, we have a lower voltage than Europe, half to be precise, so it is going to take twice as long to charge, 16 hours to be exact. It is going to be produced in series in 2011, and they are planning on selling them in Europe in 2012

  • Wonderful. When can we see them in the states? 2011? 2012? 2014? Ever?

  • such a beautiful car and environmentally friendly too!

  • Where can I buy one ?

  • i like volvo, they make good cars

  • i want one for driving to school! xD awsome electric car. c30 looks so damn good!

  • As to the "face-lift" they have given the new C30, I think they should've stuck with last year's design. This one looks too much like the new Accord from the front.

  • The only thing electric cars are good for is city driving where you only have to go about 50 miles each day. Plus, like any battery, charging capacity degrades over time which would lead to even less mileage on one charge-up.

  • nice house and car! :)

  • Technology is there and evolving... Volvo might be starting this up in fuel economy...let´s see. This C30 electric promises...

  • wow,no more gasoline,i want one

  • hmzbin heute total streichel bedürftig , wer will schreiben oder telefonieren

  • The problem here is that those batteries wont last very long. And if u leave the batteries uncharged, they will in time be weaker and in end malfunction. Imagine the cost of new batteries to a car like that.

  • Doesn't help with the lights on all the time either!

  • I guess i'd be walking or catching public transport if somebody unplugs my cable accidentally from the "juice" point?

  • There is a backside with electric cars. They are quiet and people who don´t see them won´t notice a car coming.

  • @Nefus2 thats what the horn is for..

  • 3€/100km?

Here in spain that is equivalent to a diesel consuming 3 litres /100km, close to that announced for the c30 1.6 drive E.

Does that 3€ include the cost of the car?

  • I really like the new front of the C30. It looks a lot better in motion than it does in still pictures.

  • I want one

  • Good idea for city Slickers!!

    But 8 hours to charge!!!!

    Stick to a T5 for now ;)

  • cool, but lets not forget where most of our home electricity is coming from: power plants. most are still burning fossil fuels.

  • and the batteries has toxic ingredients

  • @fathead431 Electric cars are much more efficient so it will be much less pollution anyway.

Batteries are to be recycled in a safe way, no problem.
