With Thimerosal not being present in the developed worlds vaccines (mostly only in third world) how could the paper explain the number of autistic children in America?
You talk about the symptoms of mercury poisoning, but how was the person poisoned- by injecting the mercury directly into the blood, like in the vaccines, or by breathing some mercury vapors, or by eating something containing mercury? Because the symptoms can be different. In the same time, the quantity of mercury found in vaccines is hundreds times higher than the dosage considered dangerous. The vaccines contains not only mercury, but a combination of viruses and dangerous chemicals.

But Asperger's Syndrome can only be correctly evaluated by a neuropsychologist who specializes in administering & analyzing a whole battery of tests. My son did testing for 4 days. It isn't mercury. May I suggest that you look at the case of James R. Laidler, he did believe that same "toxins cause autism" that many "curbies" believe in. Despite the GFCF diet that he used for his children, it didn't work. His son ate a product with gluten and he had no reactions. He improved socially via speech therapy. And where exactly are the sources that say that mercury causes autism?
aspie101 Parents who know the scientific research that mercury causes autism are not all necessarily "curebies". There is not cure, the neuro-toxins have done their brain damage in the womb and to infants, so there are myriads of treatments , therapies, meds, educational tools & processes, etc. Many studies out there, will post links soon. Check out Autism Society of America, their site archives much research too.

Thimerisol is still in many (I believe most actually) vaccines. If you're going to get a vaccination for yourself or a loved one, ask to see the packaging, which should show a list of ingredients. Chances are thimerisol will be one of them. The reason I say to ask for the packaging is that I don't think most doctors & nurses realize that Thimerisol is still used in their vaccines, so if you were to ask, they'd most likely tell you that it's not.

Actually I had to have the tetnus and antibiotics because a Persons German Shepherd attacked me at a doggie park as we were walking out. You poor soul. I, personally, monitored the FDA testing of the HPV vaccine through Merk. Their findings were very accurate long before the public had access to the vaccine. There is no conspiracy.

You talk about the symptoms of mercury poisoning, but how was the person poisoned- by injecting the mercury directly into the blood, like in the vaccines, or by breathing some mercury vapors, or by eating something containing mercury? Because the symptoms can be different. In the same time, the quantity of mercury found in vaccines is hundreds times higher than the dosage considered dangerous. The vaccines contains not only mercury, but a combination of viruses and dangerous chemicals.

I have read some documents that have stated that autistic children have improved some with metal detox. So, I don't know. I have read also that diet, gluten free, has helped some autistics more than others. That's people for you, though. Autistic people vary just like you're typical person. :)

Refer to the video about Autism and genetics (there seems to be good evidence that AS is genetic, inheritable, and comforms to an identifyable phenotype). BUT I think mercury may have contributed to A HIGHER occurence of AUTISM in recent decades (specifically, I think AS+ people have hyperactive immune systems, and the introduction of any foreign substance at early gestation AGITATES an auto-immune response).

I do think that there is something to it.
One of the genes associated with AS (MET) happens to be involved in the human immune system (and circadian rythme). And we see AS predominantly amongst groups of people who evolved in fridged climes usually wreaked with famine and plague, like Northern Europeans and East Asians who evolved in Siberia.

Jim Carrey and Jenny MacCarthy's child has autism and Jim doesn't believe that mercury causes autism.
Many great minds have demonstrated autistic traits and they lived long before vaccinations took place. The main problem is telling an autistic adult from an autistic child. I'm autistic and many of the symptoms present in childhood have diluded to a point that it is hard to tell that I am autistic.

Just so that you know, thermosil was removed from vaccines when that hypothesis came up, yet autism is still rising. The CDC ran some controled experiments while Jenny McCarthy ran her media tour. The tests indicated that vaccines are not the cause of autism.

warriorprince I agree , recent bad pop psychology has retro-diagnosed famous people w/ "Asperger's Syndrome" just because they are geeks, or high IQ or gifted. Even contemporary "patients" are misdiagnosed w/ Asperger's Syndrome. But Asperger's Syndrome can only be correctly evaluated by a neuropsychologist who specializes in administering & analyzing a whole battery of tests. My son did testing for 4 days. Genuine Asperger's Syndrome is clearly autistic spectrum disorder, NOT "geek syndrome".

It isn't mercury. May I suggest that you look at the case of James R. Laidler, he did believe that same "toxins cause autism" that many "curbies" believe in. Despite the GFCF diet that he used for his children, it didn't work. His son ate a product with gluten and he had no reactions. He improved socially via speech therapy. And where exactly are the sources that say that mercury causes autism?

There is not cure, the neuro-toxins have done their brain damage in the womb and to infants, so there are myriads of treatments , therapies, meds, educational tools & processes, etc. Many studies out there, will post links soon. Check out Autism Society of America, their site archives much research too.

As I have said, many of the "vaccines cause autism" crowd have sources that do not give sufficient evidence to come to a strong conclusion. Mercury doesn't cause autism. The brain damage that mercury poisoning causes is emotional lability, memory impairment, insomnia, etc. I do believe that many quack doctors see autism as a major source of profit because the parents are delusional and would believe any rediculous claim from some random idiot.

Thimerisol is still in many (I believe most actually) vaccines. If you're going to get a vaccination for yourself or a loved one, ask to see the packaging, which should show a list of ingredients. Chances are thimerisol will be one of them. The reason I say to ask for the packaging is that I don't think most doctors & nurses realize that Thimerisol is still used in their vaccines, so if you were to ask, they'd most likely tell you that it's not.

bullshit. in the congressional hearings on autism a few years ago, the story in most cases was so similar it was like a broken record. parents, one pair after the other, testified under oath that their child was vaccinated, then a day or two later developed a high fever, then showed symptoms of autism. i have no doubt the people behind this are fully aware of the relationship between vaccines and autism, and i can't think of a punishment severe enough for them.

Studies have shown that bees are not dying in the hive, something is causing them to lose their sense of orientation so that they cannot return to the hive. Depleted hives are not being raided for their honey by other insects, which normally happens when bees naturally die in the winter, clearly suggesting some kind of poisonous toxin is driving them away.

Actually I had to have the tetnus and antibiotics because a Persons German Shepherd attacked me at a doggie park as we were walking out. The person refused their ID so I could report the bite on my fractured arm, so they attacked me with their friends verbally ..After getting witnesses names they gave me their ID and I reported it to the Animal control. The dog which bit me twice will be held for 10 days for observation for rabies.

ouch, but yetti let me tell you something. where you live have u noticed anything strange about nature? bees/bats/whales dolphins rely on sonar sound to navigate. when you look at birds flyin gthey are fly very close to the ground they seem confused and wont try to gain altitude. I have a dog and a cat and they have been behaving very strangly my dog was barking at the moon for the past two nights! something is spoking animals... nature seems hushed at the moment....?

actually dogs love me.. I love dogs..we have 3... I will always have a dog.. its not the dog.. its the owner. the owner is irresponsible like some parents. They had a muzzle but took it off.. a dog bites for two reasons.. they are abused and fear, or they are being attacked themselves. In this case the dog comes from a dubious homelife.

The antivax see life as a paranoid existance of hopelessness. I see life exciting, challenging, and miraculous, so do my two aspie friends. None of us knew the others were aspies, until I mentioned it to them at a luncheon... they said You TOO?? :) They were recently diangosed too. I just had a tetnis vaccination and whooping cough an hour ago. Seems whooping cough is making a comeback since people stopped vaccinating. I lost an uncle to Lock jaw as they called it back then. I will let you know if there are any side effects in the next 24 hrs.. perhaps like Jekle and Hyde(antivaxers). i guess the antivaxers would rather i lose my arm or life.

MzTruth...I have my space posted on my profile... Look at the face of a high functioning child through 56 yrs and her family. Tell me I did not have a good life being just a kid. I nearly died 3x from pneumonia .Thank God for pencillian which I now am Allergic. My daughter had all vaccinations.. I told her to get a whooping cough one now, since antivax people are causing the return. She carries my autistic genes.. I will love my grandchildren autie or not and thank God for each one :)

You are right shame to put any child not just an autie child through that. If parents do not know what autism is if they are confused how can they be positive about something they dont understand? Our parents had no idea of autism.. they just raised us as any other kid. Both had parents who were aspies too. One has two sons who are aspies and very successful. My grandmother was an aspie..

How do you account for Donna Williams who is an Autie and not an aspie and she has a phd? Donna and I both will tell you the problems are the comorbid disorders if there are any, and NOT the autism! Take care of the comorbid disorders and you have a child who is capable of doing anything he/she sets her mind to do. they can be trained in social skills. I did that. And most of us older aspies shot from the hip in the dark, and did what it took to make it in life with NO information about autism

I read all the work by Merk required by the FDA... it was very accurate... The scientist who lead the work is a very credible person. Now young women will not experience cervical cancer like their ancestors. I totally support the series of vaccines and paid for my daughter to have them.

Good point! However, the toxins in vaccines may trigger autisnm in children with certain genetic predispositions, e.g. those with a genetic inability to excrete mercury.
