The name "Jehovah's Witness" is taken from Isaiah 43:10 where it says "You are my witnesses is the utterance of Jehovah...in order that you may know and have faith in me." I'm sure you would agree that following Jesus example would be important as a Christian. Revelation 1:5 states that Jesus was the "Faithful Witness" of his father. So in like manner we would also want to be faithful witnesses of Jehovah.

You find it hard to believe but re-read the first part of verse 16, it says: And without constroversy great is the mystery of godliness. Jesus is the Head of the Church or Congregation. His believers are the Body.
The Body is directed by His Holy Spirit, collectively and indiviually. His Holy Spirit live in us, as His children. Paul said in Rom. 12: 4-8, For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ. Some of us are called to preach, some to teach, some to encourage and so on. There is no one organization aside from Him.

I just want to know if a JW can answer me this question. I know Jws don't believe Jesus is 100% God and 100%human. What I want to know is was Jesus 100% human or 100% angel, or part human and/or angel and/or God. And I'm talking about substance not attributes. For example, don't say he was like God in that he had powers like God but physically, what substance was he? I really want to understand this so please be as accurate as possible.
What is important for us to know is his role in God's Messianic Kingdom that will rule over the Earth which will give solutions to all human kinds problems such as sickness, getting old or death. Not that bright are you jesus usually refered "him" to Jehovah god. Jesus never preached that he was better than god. There are many accounts in the bible where jesus states that god is the almighty and powerful, not him.
Jesus called himself the Almighty in Rev. 1:8, He called Himself the "I Am" in John 8:58, Is. 45:23 will be fulfilled by Ph 2:10, "that at the name of Jesus" every knee will bow, Jesus is the only God.

They believe Jesus is merely Michael the archangel. According to their beliefs, Michael became a human known as Jesus. They believe that Jesus was emptied of divinity and was a regular man. This is a dangerous teaching. I encourage you to take a look at John 5:22,23.

I'm a Trinitarian and I do believe that Jesus is God as shown in the Scriptures. When He walked the earth, He was fully God and fully human.
Your questions are good ones for JWs. Also, compare current Watchtower teachings to the original teachings of Charles Taze Russell and you'll see a difference. I don't think a JW would be able to answer your questions, but it might get them thinking.

What about the doctrine of "new light"? Watchtower theology isn't sound. It's always changing. I don't think I'd be getting a truthful answer. Some information they call "the word to the Lord's people" isn't even accepted anymore. Scripture doesn't change (Luke 21:33).

hey hun, this question is like that of the trinity.... and you are right in reasoning with the scriptures... just to let you know that angels used to be able to tunr into humans, read Genesis. My question is more of what Jesus is? Not so much in the trinitarian view, but in the JW view. If Jesus was 100% angel as Michael when he was created, what did he become when he was Jesus? Was he 50% angel, 50% human? Or 100% human 0% angel. Then what happened after his death? Was he once again 100% angel? It doesn't say in Genesis the angels were ever born of women (like Jesus was) and became men so I don't think it's the same thing. It says they came down and had children w/ the women.

The Father is only greater than Jesus by position. Stephen saw the Father and the Son by the Holy Spirit. He actually saw them. We ourselves cannot see God by ourselves. If He's not in us, then we cannot do good works.

Can you or another JW answer my question? I understand the JW theology of Jesus but I can't figure out if Jesus kept being an angel. If he gave away his angelic presence where did Michael go? Can angels die? And where did he come from when Jesus died and again became Michael? Can angels come back to life?

MAINLY we are the witnesses of Jehovah our God, God is the most important person in the galaxy. He stands far above Jesus. Therefore we are called Jehovah's Witnesses instead of Jesus' Witnesses, which would mean we put Jesus above Jehovah.
This doesnt means we arent witnesses of Jesus also. We try to follow Jesus in every step also.

When a JW preaches they tell others about Jesus and his teachings etc, thats why jeesus said you will be witnesses of me, giving a witness is pretty much talking about bible truths. Isaiah 43:10 "You are my witnesses" is the utterance of Jehovah even my servant whom I have chosen... The title Jehovahs Witnesseses was up for grabs to those that WANT TO SERVE JEHOVAH GOD TO THE FULLEST. We are the ones that just happened to take him up on His offer to serve him

To answer the Witness question, A Jehovahs Witness is kind of like a witness in court, the court witness tells the jury about the account that happened in the case and gives evidence and convinces them of what they saw and proves that it is true, Likewise a Jehovahs Witness tells others of they have learned in the bible and tells accounts of how Jehovahs holy spirit acts in their life, You really have to talk to one to get the full experience and really listen to what they are saying...

first of all the name JW is just a title. The beliefs are what is important. Jesus is very important but Jehovah his father is the almighty and to him is to who your suppose to serve. Jesus said that to Satan in Matthew 4:1-11, and i'm saying it to you. Jesus himself was a witness as it says in REV 1: 5. Isaiah 43: 10-12 says you are witnesses says Jehovah. some bibles say Lord, some say Yahweh either way its still GOD not Jesus.

only the 144,000 in rev can follow Jesus command, jw believe that the "other" flock refers to these 144,000 for heavenly hope and the other flock eternal youth, there's only one problem, Jesus referred to the Gentiles as the "other" and jew's who believe in the Christ BUT as one flock. JW created two classes of christians out of human reasoning. You know what else is funny, in rev they consider the 144,000 as an actually number but also in the same rev verse the 12 tribes of Israel as symbolic,

Acts 1:8 1st century christians assignment is different than today! They were to be eye witnesses of Jesus who was pujt to death by the Jews! That he was indeed the son of man prophety about that he was sent into to the world by god, it was him standing right in front of them killed by jews. sorry taebron, obviously you have not done your homework, but Psalms 83:18 uses the constanants YHWH not the substituted title "Lord" as appears in many "translations", In the hebrew the YHWH appears about 7000 times although your transalation probably omits all of them. Yes that is the letters the name Jehovah is derived from, God has a personal name as does his son Jesus whose name is never omited in transalations, Many blinded by stupidity and satan choose to ignore this as of no importance

The name "Jehovah's Witness" is taken from Isaiah 43:10 where it says "You are my witnesses is the utterance of Jehovah...in order that you may know and have faith in me." I'm sure you would agree that following Jesus example would be important as a Christian. Revelation 1:5 states that Jesus was the "Faithful Witness" of his father. So in like manner we would also want to be faithful witnesses of Jehovah.

first there was the Nicene Creed, in A.D. 325, BUT it only said that the son and the father are the same.
than in A.D. 381, First Council of Constantinople, they added the holy spirit and made it a god with the son and the father.
Only a few hundred years after the death of jesus they made a new teaching.
But it was foretold in Acts 20 29-30

But look closer in Gen. 18: 22, this was when Abraham intercedes for Sodom before the Lord. He is talking to the Lord, who was one of the 3 men in verse 1. As for 1 Timothy 3:16, there are many different versions of the samething, they all make reference of Christs' deity. You find it hard to believe but re-read the first part of verse 16, it says: And without constroversy great is the mystery of godliness. The Jews knew what Jesus meant when He said that He was the Son of God.

I know in my spirit that there is no other God. I'm not confused nor am I searching, I'm led by the Spirit.
And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead that in all things He may have preeminece. Col. 1:18.

Jesus is the Head of the Church or Congregation. His believers are the Body.
The Body is directed by His Holy Spirit, collectively and indiviually. His Holy Spirit live in us, as His children. Paul said in Rom. 12: 4-8, For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ. Some of us are called to preach, some to teach, some to encourage and so on. There is no one organization aside from Him.

Wow, the Only words that are not found are the following: "in heaven" (verse 7) through "on earth" (verse 8). Only 4-5 manuscripts contain thease words in Greek. I just want to know if a JW can answer me this question. I know Jws don't believe Jesus is 100% God and 100%human. What I want to know is was Jesus 100% human or 100% angel, or part human and/or angel and/or God. And I'm talking about substance not attributes. For example, don't say he was like God in that he had powers like God but physically, what substance was he? I really want to understand this so please be as accurate as possible.

Jesus is the son of the Almighty God, Jehovah. He is a spirit creature. It's not very important for us to know about his substance.

What is important for us to know is his role in God's Messianic Kingdom that will rule over the Earth which will give solutions to all human kinds problems such as sickness, getting old or death. He is the appointed ruler by Jehovah God during the thousand year when humans will be brought back to perfection. After that period of time, he will give back the rulership to his father, our Almighty God Jehovah.

I know about Jesus I just want to know what substance Jesus was. It would help me understand a lot. You see if Jesus was 100% God and 100% Human then the trinity is true. If he was 50% God and 50% Human then Arianism is true. If he was 100% human then the jews and muslims r right cause he couldn't be the begotten son of God. So which is it? What happened to Michael the angel when Jesus was born? Where did this spirit creature go? And after Jesus died where did Michael come back from?

What does it mean for Jesus to be a spirit creature when he obviously was human too? I thought JWs had all the answers but I can't seem to find someone who can answer me this question? It's important to know because if I want to become a JW I really need to understand who Jesus was.

Not that bright are you jesus usually refered "him" to Jehovah god. Jesus never preached that he was better than god. There are many accounts in the bible where jesus states that god is the almighty and powerful, not him.

Jesus called himself the Almighty in Rev. 1:8, He called Himself the "I Am" in John 8:58, Is. 45:23 will be fulfilled by Ph 2:10, "that at the name of Jesus" every knee will bow, Jesus is the only God.

They believe Jesus is merely Michael the archangel. According to their beliefs, Michael became a human known as Jesus. They believe that Jesus was emptied of divinity and was a regular man. This is a dangerous teaching. I encourage you to take a look at John 5:22,23.

Can a human atone for our sins? what happened to Michael the archangel? where was this spirit creature while Jesus was alive? Did he cease to exist? Can angels become human? I can't understand how Jesus stopped being Michael for a while and then became Michael again at Jesus death. 1st Michael an angel then Jesus a human then a new angel Michael. This just doesn't make sense. R there any JWs who can explain this?

I'm a Trinitarian and I do believe that Jesus is God as shown in the Scriptures. When He walked the earth, He was fully God and fully human.
Your questions are good ones for JWs. Also, compare current Watchtower teachings to the original teachings of Charles Taze Russell and you'll see a difference. I don't think a JW would be able to answer your questions, but it might get them thinking.

What about the doctrine of "new light"? Watchtower theology isn't sound. It's always changing. I don't think I'd be getting a truthful answer. Some information they call "the word to the Lord's people" isn't even accepted anymore. Scripture doesn't change (Luke 21:33).

God Himself is the hope! The one group that preaches God and His Word are the true Christians. Living out faith in God is an adventure. God is light (1 John 1:5). If you say that this light changes, then you're saying God changes. God doesn't change (Mal. 3:6, Heb. 13:8). Even the NWT in Heb. 13:8 shows Jesus' immutability. He doesn't change. What then is the gospel of the Jehovah's Witnesses?

Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures, was buried and rose on the third day according to the scriptures (1 Cor. 15:3-4). This is the Gospel. God came into the world and lived among men. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. Immanuel means "God with us" (Matt. 1:23). The Messiah is God. We have to put our faith in Him. You can call me a liar. (If the Holy Spirit were a person and were God, this text would flatly contradict the Trinity doctrine, because it would mean that in some way the Holy Spirit was greater than the Son. God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours (Is. 55:8-9). Psalms 118:8 says, "It is better to trust the LORD than to put confidence in man." Only God Himself can wash away our sins. All who repent and put their faith in Jesus will be cleansed by His blood. This is wonderful news!

Until they became greedy for beautiful women ... and Jesus was the first spirit creature of God, and was sent to earth for our wrong doings ever heard" a perfect life , for a perfect life" was adam perfect.. so rightly Jesus was prefect and gained what adam lost.

My question is more of what Jesus is? Not so much in the trinitarian view, but in the JW view. If Jesus was 100% angel as Michael when he was created, what did he become when he was Jesus? Was he 50% angel, 50% human? Or 100% human 0% angel. Then what happened after his death? Was he once again 100% angel? It doesn't say in Genesis the angels were ever born of women (like Jesus was) and became men so I don't think it's the same thing. It says they came down and had children w/ the women.

The Father is only greater than Jesus by position. Stephen saw the Father and the Son by the Holy Spirit. He actually saw them. We ourselves cannot see God by ourselves. The Holy Spirit has to move on us and bring us to repentance. He teaches us the Word He inspired men to write down. We can only do good works if He is in us. If He's not in us, then we cannot do good works.

There are several verses in the NWT, despite what the Watchtower has done, that support the deity of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I cannot change you. Only God can. God wants all to come to repentance, but not everyone will. I hope that He does bring you to repentance.

Can you or another JW answer my question? I understand the JW theology of Jesus but I can't figure out if Jesus kept being an angel. If he gave away his angelic presence where did Michael go? Can angels die? And where did he come from when Jesus died and again became Michael? Can angels come back to life?
