I love this movie. It not only shows the worst of what humans are capable of, but also the best. The fact that Schindler even stuck his neck out to save a handful of the Jews headed for the camps, let alone so many, during the political climate of the times is astounding. If only more human beings today would stand up and help even one person they see suffering, the world would be a much better place.

I have read a lot of literature on holocaust based on facts, watched films and visited Auschwitz. I honestly think that the movie "Schindler's list" is absolutely overrated. In my opinion the story is not so good and partly false, the actors are bad (except for the main) to the pint you are realizing it is fake, just a movie. The most ridiculous was mixing of German, Polish, English and Hebrew languages. Why did they use English anyway if most of the actors couldn't speak it properly?

This was long overdue,but he got it for the right movie,as Schindler's List is his masterpiece. I love that movie,this speech,and this man's work,both in the world and outside the world of cinema. The world is a better place because of Steven Spielberg,and I will be forever a fan,because when I think of inspiring people,he is the one of the first I think of. I love this movie. It not only shows the worst of what humans are capable of, but also the best. The fact that Schindler even stuck his neck out to save a handful of the Jews headed for the camps, let alone so many, during the political climate of the times is astounding. If only more human beings today would stand up and help even one person they see suffering, the world would be a much better place.

I have read a lot of literature on holocaust based on facts, watched films and visited Auschwitz. I honestly think that the movie "Schindler's list" is absolutely overrated. In my opinion the story is not so good and partly false, the actors are bad (except for the main) to the pint you are realizing it is fake, just a movie. The most ridiculous was mixing of German, Polish, English and Hebrew languages. Why did they use English anyway if most of the actors couldn't speak it properly?

@thatsanna What on earth are you talking about - its a true story and up to this point, no other film has come close to recreating one aspect of the holocaust as this one. Before you reply that I probably haven't read any literature etc - I have and visited Auschwitz, Schindlers original factory and what now remains of Plaszow. Instead of trying to be too clever, watch the film for what it is and not what language they could have spoken etc..

Very unperfect because spielberg as always made a movie for the audience and not for the survivors. a proof is that he without no shame thanked the 6 million that nurdered for getting him this Oscar.

@mjd222axq Schindler's List is based on a novel. The first page of which, used to have the words "This story is fictitious", but later editions removed these words. Spielberg used "black and white" film techniques to artificially mimic a documentary. Most of his portrayal is nothing more than pure fiction. He even pays lip service to "the six million", which even Raul Hillberg admitted is "highly dubious", and grossly exaggerated. The official Holocaust story, and this movie, is full of lies.
