I've used 'soap calc pro' designed for Iphone and Ipad. There are oils qualities on this calc. First I used free version, but the autobalancing option on pro version is great. Try this, I've found it quite usefull, you can find it on appstore.
I buy mine from Lehman's hardware in Ohio. I drive there a few times a year. The issue with sodium hydroxide is the hazardous materials shipping charge. So if you don't live near a store that sells to the Amish, then you have to buy enough to justify the cost of shipping. Some hardware stores still carry a pure lye, but you really have to call around.
There are lots of great places to find recipes for soap. The Soapmaker's Companion has great recipes and chemical information. The Soap Book by Sandy Maine is another with more basic recipes. The ingredients I am using here are coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil, lye, water and a fragrance oil and colorant. It's only one of close to 16 varieties that I make.

@stevenevange I sure do. But I'm out of everything because of Christmas. I'll be back up to full inventory by February 1.

@genoadeb I recently learned that sodium hydroxide (lye) can be purchased in large quantities from janitorial suppliers.

Thanks. I got the mold from a soap company in Mesa, AZ. But it doesn't look as though they are there anymore. Or they moved. The site is down.

This is not meant an in instructional video for those who want to make their own. It is for those who are curious about how handmade soap is done.

Wow, that was really UNinformative... you don't say what you're using or how much to use... thanks
