  • ingredients??? -unless a secret recipe...

  • Do you sell your soap online? Steven.

  • @stevenevange I sure do. But I'm out of everything because of Christmas. I'll be back up to full inventory by February 1.

  • @genoadeb My site is listed in the comments right under the video.

  • I buy mine from Lehman's hardware in Ohio. I drive there a few times a year. The issue with sodium hydroxide is the hazardous materials shipping charge. So if you don't live near a store that sells to the Amish, then you have to buy enough to justify the cost of shipping. Some hardware stores still carry a pure lye, but you really have to call around.

  • @genoadeb I recently learned that sodium hydroxide (lye) can be purchased in large quantities from janitorial suppliers.

  • @Arome62 Thanks! That's helpful to know.

  • Can you tell me where to find inexpensive ways of purchasing sodium hydroxide...

  • I love that mould, how cool is that, great video :)

  • There are lots of great places to find recipes for soap. The Soapmaker's Companion has great recipes and chemical information. The Soap Book by Sandy Maine is another with more basic recipes. The ingredients I am using here are coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil, lye, water and a fragrance oil and colorant. It's only one of close to 16 varieties that I make.

  • @genoadeb make more videos:)

  • good, but I need the ingredients!!

  • Great video .Like it lots!Well done :-)

  • Thanks. I got the mold from a soap company in Mesa, AZ. But it doesn't look as though they are there anymore. Or they moved. The site is down.

  • @genoadeb I live in Mesa. What was it called?

  • @rorysmom3 It was called Serenity Botanicals. But the site is down.

  • Where did you get that mold? Nice video by the way. :)

  • This is not meant an in instructional video for those who want to make their own. It is for those who are curious about how handmade soap is done.

  • Wow, that was really UNinformative... you don't say what you're using or how much to use... thanks
