  • This is not Daitoryu at all. Maybe some sort of aikido.

  • This is bassically aikido, because aikido really derived from the real Daito Ryu. But I don´t know if this "daito ryu" derived fron the real Daito Ryu.

  • didnt know they invented the arm lock

  • @monkeyslapper65 Yes they did!

  • the martial art of the samurai... no... before Aikijutsu was taijutsu (it reallly existed and it not some naruto crap) and during sengoku the shorin ryu was taking roots with the Satsuma clan who had invaded Ryu kyu (Okinawa) in other words the real first martial way of the samurai is the sword afterward they used some path some were better at holds and projection other were better at atemi (punch and kicks)... so stop giving the samurai a weird reputation

  • @MrJordanwell actually taijutsu is just a general term not a martial art........ taijutsu literally means fighting technique. Btw Aiki can be used with or without a sword but this would be a very bloody demo if the guys in this video were using them... also: bushido is the way of the sword, also not a fighting style.

  • well i think this is Aikido.

i practised it for myself over 2 years :)

and this likes the most on Aikido

  • Alright just clearing up the facts. The martial art of the samurai is called Budo.

  • @ninjamaster2995 No it was called Bujutsu, Budo was a later spiritual concept after the restoration and the demise of the samurai.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES Yes I know. But it is most commonly referred to as Budo.

  • @ninjamaster2995 Maybe by the uneducated.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES Perhaps.

  • Wasn't Jujutsu the art of the samurai?

  • @Th33k THIS IS JIUJITSU BUT SOMBODY PUT THIS NAME AIKIJITSU

  • @Th33k i THINK

  • @Th33k Depends on the clan. I know the Takeda clan trained their warrior's in Daito Ryu Aikijutsu and Yagyu Shinkage Ryu Kenjutsu/Battojutsu.

The deferences of the styles are-

    Jujitsu- Hipthrows, chokes, knife techniques

    Aikijujutsu- Hipthrows, arm breaking techniques

Aikijutsu- pining techniques and arm/leg/neck breaks/dislocations

Osensei created aikido by combining Daito Ryu Aikijutsu, Kito Ryu Jujutsu, Kodokan Jujutsu, Yagyu Shinkage Ryu Kenjutsu, Jodo and Jukendo.

  • nice music

  • still loved the video of the guy attacking like a girl lol

  • Masters only pass there secrets to there immediate family, all you will do is harden yourself up. You will never know the truth about fighting it is a lie to take your money. Another rule which Masters should be abiding by, do not make money from fighting

  • @petewilko you do learn how to fight by training selfdefence

  • @petewilko That is not true for all masters.

  • hi guys do you have a school in queensland Australia ?

  • This is where you learn to fall before learning to defend..Got to love a good punching bag that moves, the orange belt..... he he Bow

  • oh yes very effective if the person its being used on complies perfectly and rolls at the right time...... a samurai without a katana is an old asian.......

  • @EgagLatsev in what way? this is taught to law enforcement for a reason. because it works.

i can't tell if you're a really good troll, or just stupid.

  • @EgagLatsev The samurai had armor that the katana could not cut through, often they had to kill their opponent another way, which was called Jujutsu.

  • @Th33k well actually the fights would have ended with the first blade that hit his opponant, not the way anime and other stupid shit would have you believe so.... your dumb....... samurai diddnt use jujitsu nerd...

  • @EgagLatsev Well actually when a samurai would loose his weapon in open battle then they would use aikijujitsu or jujitsu, also a samurai would die a honorable death:) But i know where your coming from samurais wouldn't go to jujitsu or aikijujitsu if it was there last choice.

  • @iiAMx there is no "jitsu" in Japanese. It is "jutsu"

  • nice video

  • Dan is the first?

  • @samadoshi 1st Dan is first XD

  • This is not to say that i'm insulting aiji-jj, or aikido. I train in aikido, and I love it. I think they're both unique martial systems, with beautiful philosphies, but I don't think they need to clip the term 'Samurai' to them, to make them seem better. The fact that they're beautiful, devestating, fast and unique should be enough. Old martial arts are called koryu, founded before 1876. Gendai budo are modern like aikido, judo, karate. They're usually made by mashing old systems together

  • Aiki-JJ was founded in 1900, but the samurai class was all but extinct by the 1800's, due to the modernization of Japan. Aikijujutsu is an art of war, but it's very unlikely that it's ever been used on the field. Saigo Takamori was considered 'The Last Samurai' and he died in 1887, 13 years before Aiki JJ existed. Aiki JJ, and later Aikido, were developed from men who mastered several styles of jutsu, some may have been used by the samurai, but aikijujutsu definatly was not. It's not possible

  • Aikijujutsu was not the martial art used by the samurai, false advertising to make it seem cooler. In fact, the samurai only ever used jujutsu in hand to hand, not 'aiki' anything. The samurai were masters of kenjutsu, Kyujutsu, bojutsu and so on. They developed different systems for different situations i.e swimming (Suijutsu) Kyuba (Archery on Horseback) When it comes to dates, there's no way the samurai used aikijujutsu. Cont next post

  • @KurtCobain198666 I agree with you on this due to the fact that they didn't call it aikijujutsu. Samurai trained all different jujutsu styles which were based on the system they learned from their clan and sometimes by teachers they sought out in different areas. Some of them were very soft and aiki based, and Takeda himself when he named what he was doing at the time Daito Ryu jujutsu called it that and it had various names through history. The aikijujutsu part of the names came later.

  • It doesn' t mean aiki styles didn't exist because they did. They were primarily used for certain scenarios and during Samurai times weapons training was the focus. They were also not popular main stream arts in Japan and only certain clans tied to the Takeda's and the Aizu clan and their students got to learn them until Takeda Sokaku started teaching people outside his own clan.

  • Check out Stanley Pranin's videos and articles form Aikido Journal he has a lot of good Daito Ryu and Aikijujutsu history.

  • @KurtCobain198666 Aikijujutsu and Jujutsu are interchangeable terms.

But the video here seems like Aikido to me.

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku Aikido is a less lethal form of Aikijutsu. It was developed in later years. Can't have pupils getting their pupils gouged out and limbs broken :) Having said that REAL Aikido is a very effective martial art.

  • @CoolLikePenguinNuts You can add eye gouging and Aikido already has limb breaking techniques.

    It's still Aikido.

  • aikijutsu... OTS we

  • @888peanut888

and you must be Chuck Norris. You you guys live in a fantasy world? you never been in a real fight if you think you could "evade every single attack of a kickboxer or street fighter. See, now it is mumbo jumbo like that, and skinny little lizards like you that gives kung fu or "Aikijutsu" a bad name. do me a favor and kiss my Converse! Lol

  • @TheCandyMan01 hey douche bag, go eat a dick

  • oke nice... look at fudoshin ryu

  • on any given day anyabody can win with anything. but i like aiki styles. you can look at westerns or anybody fighting and see it happen naturally. even if the fighters can't fight.

  • real fighting doesn't look like this!

  • @TheCandyMan01 trust me, these guys will evade every single attack of a kickboxer or a street fighter. these techniques work

  • @888peanut888 Ummm, Have you ever trained AIki? You really give these guys WAY too much credit. They evade A LOT of attacks, but not every one thrown at them. Jesus Christ, you're worse than most of these UFC tuff guys that think cause the watch the show they can fight. Honestly, if you train AIki and Aiki only, prepare to eat pavement. If you don't have a striking art as back up with this isn't gonna save you ALL the time. I'm an 11 year Goju Ru Karateka, stop ruining TMA's kid.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheCandyMan01 I agree with what you told peanut, but look at some of those techniques. The guy was using his hands mimicking the downward swing of a sword/baseball bat/hammer/club. Aiki was born from the battlefield from Daito Ryu, a sword art. It was a translation from weapon to empty hand combat using the same techniques. Plus, the fight doesn't have to look exactly like this for it to work. Someone who's trained long enuff can perform these moves on boxers and brawlers with ease.

  • @HairofSteel555 you mad bro? come use some of your 11 year martial art skills and fight me with them over the internet. did you know everyone on youtube is at least 3rd dan in what ever martial art they want? cool huh

  • @888peanut888 ME GUSTA. Challenge Accepted. Where do you live?

  • @HairofSteel555 at your mums house banging her

  • @888peanut888 also: You're a butt fucking dick ass dirty whore monkey anal fisting flaming faggot eating cock gay mother fucking dick licking ass clown bitch. and you smell bad

  • @888peanut888 Exactly. Just because you think you are Successful Troll doesn't mean you are Successful Troll. Unless you have something worthwhile to bring to the table I will ignore any comments from you in the future because I know you are just a maggot tongued Troll living in your mothers basement. Good day to you Sifu Peanut, cause you know soooooo much about Martial Art's.

  • @HairofSteel555 the main reason i replied like that was because im not in the mood for some stupid martial art debate about what martial art is best. and i dont live in my mums basement. im 17, live at home and spend my free time playing sport, studying and a fair bit of gaming. also because i think youre a faggot i will tell you that i drive a 25 thousand dollar car. a bmw 325.

    youre welcome kind american

  • @888peanut888 That is a mighty fine car you're driving. But I enjoy my '93 Jimmy junker just fine. The only reason I posted was because you started saying Aikidoka could block or deflect anything. If anyone at all started an "this martial art is best" argument, it was yourself.

  • @HairofSteel555 in that case i will apologize to you good sir and stand down from this internet conversation.

  • This is part of the ninjutsu

  • looks like aikido, could you tell me what is the diference???

  • Comment removed

  • @Ramirozr1 Technically, Aikijujutsu is more combat realistic because it includes more of the old jujutsu systems which were born on the battlefield. Aikijujutsu includes more atemi than Aikido and is more rough in many aspects.

Loads of Aikijujutsu systems exist nowadays, but if you want to study it in its purest form, I suggest you study Daito Ryu.

  • @Ramirozr1 I would argue that what is being shown is aikido with some jujutsu thrown in. Aikijutsu was a combat art with maiming and killing techniques. This is in contrast to aikido, whose goal is to to little damage, and jujutsu, which is mainly sport.

  • Very smooth and flowing moves; how graceful!

What is it like to fall on the grass, without any mats?

And, why is your belt red?

  • Not true. Though it teaches very little, there is striking in aiki. Aiki, trains blocking, limited striking, throws and some grappling. All the aspects of a fight in one. COMPLETE Martial Art. Boxing only teaches a defense and striking; not blocking, throwing, or grappling, thus an INCOMPLETE Martial Art.

  • i whana se this moves on a 3 feat tall niggaa

  • No offense, but you may want to check on the aiki again.

  • Way Cool! Thanks for posting this. As an Aikidoka, its nice to see what our practice evolved from. Also I now know what to try when someone tall "spins out "of my shihonage. Thanks!

  • As for striking, well placed combinations go a. Long way. Keep up the intensity, and aim for the natural weak points on the body in conjunction with the Sabaki method. For mutual accepted fights (MMA style) adopt your karate style to a kickboxing format for consistency.

  • 300lb guys have about 3 mins of energy..the lactic acid builds up and they quit real fast...ever see a 300 lb guy play tennis or run a race?

  • ES MUY GRACIOSO VERLOS A TODOS VOLANDO n_n

  • In a real fight try to flip a guy that weights 300 and is 61 ft tall and see if it works. It's looks real good, but I tell you it's a different story in real life.

  • In a real fight try to flip a guy that weights 300 and is 61 ft tall and see if it works. It looks real good but I tell you it's a different story in real life.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 your not actually flipping the other guy, u apply a joint lock and he has a choice: either he jumps or his joint gets broken

  • Trust me, in a real fight it's a lot different.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 i have fought people and i was using simular moves but yes it is different it only worked for me when the guy grabbed me berfore attemting to punch me.

  • @ShaolinRyan Well, if it works for you that's good. I took Takewondo Karate and when it come to use it, It was a different story.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 i say it really deppends on the type of training that the instructor gives out, have you used taekwondo or karate in a fight please share

  • @ShaolinRyan When you use Martial Arts in real fight, You have to hit hard and strong then move away. Just before the fight begins try to get close to your adversary so you can get a good strike.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 yup and you got to know where to hit and how to hit, attack the joints and tender spots it will end a fight before it starts

  • @ShaolinRyan This is why Boxing is much much better because in Boxing you can cause a lot more damage then in the Martial Arts. In Martial Art you have to hit in certain location of the body in order to make a damage to the other fighter. So, Boxing is a lot better then Martial Arts.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 well i am a martial artist and i have done some damage to bigger people with a hook to the face and round house kick to the knee then ground n pound the style i take is five animal kung fu but we train doing self defence sinarios, forms and full contact sparring i really dont like the forms id rather hit the heavy bag or spar then do a form

  • @ShaolinRyan Well, that good you have scored some Victories.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 Boxing is a martial art braniac.

  • @GracieBarraMofo Boxing is an incomplete martial art to be more precise.

  • @HairofSteel555 so is aikido

  • @edwardoalvarez22 Ok, In Goju Ryu your ment to deliver a punch that can break wood and bend a human in half, imagine that strike to the face? Unless you have trained in a traditional martial art for more than 5 years, don't act like you know what your talking about. It just makes you look ignorant.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 LOL I hope you realize this sounds very funny.

Martial arts were born on the battlefield and contain a lot of combat realism, whereas boxing is based on making apple sauce of the opponent in a very brute way; no technique. Jujutsu is designed to finish and opponent quickly and effectively.

This usually ends in long discussions, but I'm always open for a discussion and I won't quit that quickly.

  • @FearThisChannel And despite all of its so called brutality and lack of technique, Bruce Lee studied it intensively and confirmed its effectiveness. You should try the beautiful art of boxing one day, the experience would increase your knowledge and change your opinion.

  • @Avatar23561 My friend, I hope you understand that I am talking about this Western Boxing and not the Wing Chun Bruce Lee practised.

  • @FearThisChannel My friend, I never mentioned Wing Chun. Lee practised many forms of fighting including Western Boxing and used its techniques.

  • @Avatar23561 Of course, but he mainly used his Wing Chun knowledge. The first evidence is how much Wing Chun influenced Jeet Kune Do. His fighting style was mainly based on Eastern boxing methods.

Whether he acknowledged the effectiveness of Western boxing, I do not know, but I can conclude from my experience that Western boxing is not as comprehensive and elaborate as any other fighting style. Technique is simple and brutal, and the practitioner mainly relies on his own strength.

  • @FearThisChannel I will never argue with the fact that Wing Chun greatly influenced Bruce's technique, but if you would take the time to read "Tao of Jeet Kunde Do", you will see his view on Western Boxing and that he took many aspects from it aswell.

That being said, I agree Western Boxing covers less aspects of self-defense: no knife-defense or defense against grabs. The following, is a matter of opinion, but I thought the boxers I have sparred with, were technically very skilled...

  • @Avatar23561 ... They generated enormous power with the right hip rotation, placement of feet, tension in the muscles etc. I agree this is brutal, and so is karate with its kicks and strikes, and judo with its throws that are executed with great technique but also with great physical power. I wouldn't say a karate practitioner has better technique or punching skills than a Western Boxer. Many punches, kicks and throws of both karate and judo are simple. In my opinion, simplicity is a virtue.

  • @Avatar23561 boxing most certainly has a defense against a grab. it is called a "punch in the face". In martial arts training, I was told that if someone grabbed you, you should be polite and thank them for making your life SO much easier...

  • @kenfo0 My friend, I should have been more specific. I did not mean the attacker would just grab you and do nothing. I meant grabs where the attacker pulls you forward by the collar, while he hits you in the face or grappling when someone holds you in a chokehold. Boxing has few effective answers to that unlike judo or jiujitsu. Still, I agree with you that a punch to the face is an excellent solution to many attacks, but it won't always do the trick. A punch doesn't give any control either.

  • @Ava if you grab me, whether to pull me or whatever, you are going to eat an overhand right that will make your parents wake up and cry. "Control" is not much of an issue, as if I hit someone cleanly, they will be going to the hospital. I'm not trying to give you a hard time. I'm just saying that grabbing a stranger is a very bad idea, as there are many simple ways to make that person pay dearly. In a real world fight, you want no entanglement, as you don't know who is on bad guy's side.

  • @kenfo0 I believe the UFC-fighter is Bas Rutten, but as far as I know, he doesn't fight anymore.

Well I guess you have your opinion and I have mine. But as far as punching goes I agree with you, it is very effective. I just think you won't always be in a position where you can throw a punch. I also absolutely agree with you that you don't want to end up in an entanglement, because his buddies could start stomping your face while you are holding the attacker.

  • @Avatar23561 bas is great fun, but not who I was trying to name. maybe i'll look it up. People, oddly, think punches only work to the face. Absurd. Ask bas or g. foreman about liver shots. Or punch the upper arm near the armpit from underneath. A light punch to the throat or hard inside the knee or back of the hand. There are a lot of things I wouldn't do to a trained fighter or someone who's clearly high that would disable the avg joe quite nicely, avoiding prosecution. Best wishes.

  • @kenfo0 Hmm, I wouldn't know the fighter then. Bas really is great fun, you can have a good laugh with him. Yeah agreed, a trained fighter would mess the average joe up pretty badly if he wanted to grab (or do anything else for that matter). Best wishes.

  • @Avatar23561 I think i was thinking of martin kampmann, but he is from denmark.

  • @kenfo0 As far as he grabbing goes, I think there are moments at which you can't really get a good hit on an attacker. Perhaps you could send me a video of your defence? Im always open to new ideas.

  • @edwardoalvarez22 be water my friend_ Bruce Lee

  • @edwardoalvarez22 Your experience is revealed with the words " Takewondo Karate". LOL.

  • @puniks2112 Oka.y. If that the case, try it and see if it works.
