Just as vinyljunkie says, try using some more (and maybe more unknown) tracks.
Next to that, the crowd wants to see the DJ being active. So be busy all the time. Bounce with the music, search for some other tracks (read the crowd, which is impossible at home of course ;) ) and even if it's not the time to start the next tune you could play it on your headphones and beatmatch it already so you only have to pitch bend it! Beatmatching sounds OK so far!
not bad at all fella keep up the good work. only thing i'd say is think about bringging in the mix sooner dont wait to the end of the track. overall i liked it.
My comment's would have to be don't just play the big tunes out there that everyone else is playing, try and dig a little deeper, it will give you more edge. There are 100's of dj's out there playing put your hands up for Detroit. Also seeing as you are playing these big tunes you are mixing out to late so it's loosing the energy, try keeping the energy there and don't wait till the end to mix out.
Also track selection is very important so maybe work on that, and try to create a real nice flow. Overall I didn't think that was a bad first mix and with practice you will get there soon, you seem to know what you are doing so it shouldn't be too hard.
If next time you could upload a higher quality video that would be cool, so then we can see how you work the mixer n decks.
Also I have a question where did you get that intro with your DJ name made? I really like that.
I have it in a higher quality but cannot upload that to youtube as it is too big. I could upload it elsewhere and give you the link if you wish. I will do a video on my DJ intro for you aswell.
Excuse me, but could you tell me how the whole setup works???
You see, I want turntables but I can't afford CDJs...
Are USB Vinyl Turntables able to plug into the PC so I can use VirtualDJ with them or something? Do I need the BCD-2000 to make them able to plug into the PC???
Coz I don't wanna have to waste my money on fucking vinyls!!!
LOL!!! Are you using digital songs???
Just tell me all the shit I need to know!!!
Coz Christmas is coming and I wanna buy some stuff!!!
the vinyls are normal numark vinyls.. and then the rca cables are plug into the analog inputs to the BEHRINGER BCD-3000 (mixer) and then he have timecode vinyls (rane serato) on the vinyls. maybe some options need to change etc. but Djmattyf knows ;) mail him.
