I was told by a junior high school principal that my children were "wards of the state" during the time of day they were in his public school. Parents are not even allowed to write notes for absence excuses anymore. We are told only a doctor's excuse will get an excused absence. Parents are not respected by the state and our children are taught we have no authority.

The sheriff in this county was at one point named in a law suit by another deputy for sexual harassment. The suit was settled and a gag order placed in the dollar amount. A few years back one officer allegedly held a local businessman against his will and threatened him. That officer is no longer an officer. This is not a place I would like to reside.

I was told by a junior high school principal that my children were "wards of the state" during the time of day they were in his public school. Parents are not even allowed to write notes for absence excuses anymore. We are told only a doctor's excuse will get an excused absence. Parents are not respected by the state and our children are taught we have no authority.

I mean, sure, American kids rate with lowest scores in the international student comparisions (see PISA tests), so the schools aren't good. But still, teachers oughtto know more of their field than joes of the street do!
How many nurses can beat a history teacher in the history knowledge? How many construction workers can beat a math teacher in mathematics? No offence to the example professions meant, but I bet not many!

While i would contest that home schooling is a perfect alternative, I'll agree it seems to be the trend that the system has been failing too many kids for decades now and does not work for everybody, therefor the parental right to choose schooling methods should be guaranteed like sexual preference and land ownership and the right to bear arms - end of story - it shouldn't even be an argument.
The only argument should be which alternative works best and left to individual choice.

More time is spent indoctrinating kids into social engineering than the 3 R's that are so essential in life. If parents want to send their kids to what could only be called an over-priced Day Care Center for their convenience, so be it. It's their children, and their futures.

To make it clear, I do not claim that home schooling is better or that it is a better alternative for everyone but because I believe in the right to choice I will show you are wrong. According to HSLDA Academic Statistics on homeschooling report online - you are very wrong in every thing you said.
Look up the report it says homeschooling is more effective than public school, their students score higher grades within 30 - 37 percentile range and it cost much less than public per head by $4800

Only the poorest would be educated there as a form of social welfare for the low income.
So, unfortunately it's not just an individuals issue anymore, hence the paranoia from all sides. Public school bureaucrats are now on a power trip because they stand to lose $5200 per head per year for each kid home schooled.

If someone makes a claim against you, at law, if you fail to establish your standing as one of the People and challenge their jurisdiction by asking them to present a "proof of claim" against you, then you accept it by "silent acquiescence", a.k.a. estoppel by silence.
You need to establish your own claim at law (common law).
Their jurisdiction can be challenged in a Court of Record ( - a court proceeding according to the common law).

The school district had a Claim of Right against them, and they didn't have their own Claim of Right established at common law.
If you want to reserve your unalienable rights at common law, you need to establish it with a Notice of a Claim of Right.
Research "Notice of Understanding and Intent and Claim of Right".

The sheriff in this county was at one point named in a law suit by another deputy for sexual harassment. The suit was settled and a gag order placed in the dollar amount. A few years back one officer allegedly held a local businessman against his will and threatened him. That officer is no longer an officer. This is not a place I would like to reside.

The county Sheriffs office has been subject of a number of law suits over the years...illegal strip searches,inmate abuse, false arrest, brutality. One inmate killed himself in the jail last year. Some suits have been settled some were dismissed, some pending.

Problem is they are state controlled schools. There is no way to win. We need to throw the state off of our schools entirely. If people wish to give their children an education or be stupid and don't it isn't the state's place to intervene. My real education didn't start until I was 20. Being a Sovereign citizen means having total control over everything you are responsible for including your kids. And to be honest no parent would willfully give their children a lousy education in today's world.

Sadly, the dumbed down ones are the ones educated by the state education systems. (That is their main agenda and they can easily do it with young children). Homeschoolers excel far above public educated children. I love my kids a heck of a lot more than the government or the school system ever could.
