Tips for doing outdoor interviews:

1. Check audio first before going 'live'

Your interviewee will be fine with it, it will look far more professional if you spend (and seemingly waste)five or thirty minutes making sure the sound is good than it will after everything is done and you discover you can't understand half the words.

2. If you think it sounds ok, it actually sounds horrible and unintelligible. If you think it sounds great, it actually sounds barely acceptable.

3. Do it indoors.
