yep i got one of those... i love it :) im all over college campus and it's so convenient to see the trend of my blood sugar and it also help me fix my dawn phenomenon !
Great videos man, it's good to know there are people that can be happy with diabetes because i am not one.
Iv'e been type 1 for 11 years now and have always struggled to control it despite my best efforts, i live in the uk & have been waiting for a pump for two years.......bad huh?, that's the uk for you, waiting lists wherever you turn. I'm starting to lose hope, any advice on how and where i can get one cheap 1HappyDiabetic?.
I have also been a Diabetic for the past 11 years. It's a rough ride when you don't have the things you need, Have you tried looking for one online and ordering it? You may be able to find one that way if you can't get one there.
I can't wait until CGMS is the standard testing method for all diabetics... in the meantime, over here in NZ they're incredibly rare and ridiculously expensive! So I'm a little jealous - but I plan to have one, ASAP.
in the meantime I'll just drool over yours lol.
Thanks for another great vid :) Yep I'm still keeping an eye on your vids ;)
Going for Pump training Dec 19th. Found out that my Dr prefers the Animas and MiniMed pumps. I felt that I prefer the Cozmo after my research and especially hearing that it is your preference. I feel that I can trust your
advice. Do you think I should insist on the Cozmo or settle for my 2nd choice which would be the Animas? Thanks for any advice you can give. Also I could not find your email address on your site or youtube, is it listed somewhere?
Matt great question. Here is what I think. Animas is a great pump. The fact your doctor prefers it (meaning knows how to use it) is very important. Nothing worse then your Dr. not knowing how your pump operates. But the reality is within a few months you'll be a pump master. And any questions you have about operating the pump you would be asking the company who makes it, not your DR. CoZmo offers features the other 3 pumps don't. Your buying the car not the dealer, you'll have it for 4yr
I use a CGMS and pay out of pocket and I think the most useful bit is seeing what happens overnight but I lose a lot of sleep what with the alarms and how uncomfortable wearing the CGMS is. I only wear it part time and I think it has major downers as well as good things about it. If you can figure out how stress affects you and it's consistant, then wearing sensors for one week per month can still be helpful.
HA HA HA only true Diabetics would like the fick your pringer line.... LOL my fav too... and the "Moody" kitty in the High BG video... lol Thanks for watchin
Wow, I didn't even know they had this stuff. How do they work? Any ballpark prices for this stuff or type in specific model name? I know what you mean with business meetings too, you're like was it just adrenaline or was I really low?
They can be pricey (if thats a word), I got mine for $450 plus $60 a sensor... I'll do a vid in the next few days about cost... BIGGEST deal is to try to appeal insurance claims and hopes they pay... some people are getting them covered now!
You can use CGMS without a pump! There are just some advantages with a pump being able to make small adjustment to your background insulin levels. Some offices have these devices you might be able to try it, but not usually. :( I'm going to doa follow up vid in the next few days about the disadvantages and price info... Thanks for your posts, they help everyone out there
