sorry but you dont have a clue of the situation in that countries. police is not really working there. everything is going wrong and police or coast guard ships for them would just cause that the pirates have better ships soon
Kenya prisons are a nightmare even for these wild pirates, no more 5-star meals like in that German ship...ugali and quarry work is all they'll get for 7 years.
Do our courts really have jurisdiction over such cases? If the Germans et al. do not want to charge these chaps, I think they should be handed over to Ocampo's ICC rather than to Kenya.
Why is it that every time these Somali pirates are captured they are always brought here to Kenya for sentencing. Why cant they be taken to Somalia and charged there?

kenya pretty much runs somalia... we collect their taxes.... somalia has no justice system.... they have bigger issues to sort out than worry about these pirates... if ppl think kenya is fcked... then try living in somalia....
sad to say but you and i know that German ship had to find a reason any reason to land in Kenyan coast for cheap UMALAYA
