Whites control the social,economic,political and educational institutions in this country. Therefore they have a direct effect on the daily lives of black people. Yet in the next video he's more in defence of biracial people, arguing that they have the full right to identify with all that they are. Jaylove's videos represent how reality is: multidimensional.

So many of us are quick to say we're mixed with when it may only be like 10%. So many of our women want to have babies by whites and Hispanics so their kid can have good hair. Let me just start by saying that I am biracial, yes black/white. Jaylove discusses many taboo topics. But I think he is genuine, and when he says "being proud of your African American background" I feel him. We live in a world in which black people are perceived to be at the bottom of society (IQ/beauty standards/political power etc). Especially when such ideas are very persistant, as they are, it should come to no one's surprise that people want to escape being (solily) labelled as "black".
