I love the arrogance of tree fellers. They all think they r the only real men. Hah! I've been there and done it. Most are either desperate or too stupid to know better! Its dangerous yes, but not difficult. Because it looks impressive they get full of themselves... then, most get hurt or hurt somebody else.
Nice job keeping them pointed the same direction. I wonder how much is lost by the tree being snapped in half. Is there much wiggle room on grades and lengths? If you snap a big pine here a hundred bucks or more might fly out the window.
i live in maine we do this steady as long as you leave enough hinge and the tree isnt rotten. I use the skidder to push them over save time and effort of wedging
i was a bushman 4 20yrs and ive done that but its dangerious and a few have been killed driving trees. you needed ta aim it directly at the other 1 not brush the side.

not safe at all. droping one tree into the other means you had to notch and backcut the first one and leave it 'standing' with your back turned for long periods. (a gust of wind comes to mind!) another 'accident' possibility is the second tree can hang for a few seconds in the first tree and actually throw brances back at you as it releases!!! you will be a statistic someday. Pity!!!
More fallers are killed by trying to wedge a tree against its lean and accidently cutting it off and have it fall up the hill or backwards. And for the branches i was a mile away from the second tree.
@TheCaptainCanada your another wannebe logger trying to tell how to do things... ho hum, meanwhile the rest of us timber fallers know that this guy knows exactly what he is doing. Real nice scenery too!
Nice job. But you were a little careless. You should have kept the saw in your hands as you walked away. You put the saw next to the falling tree. The tree could have crushed it. You had more then enough time to move away with you and your saw. Good Job.
great job man, and yeah you better kick that guys ass, stand up for the courtenay fallers.. you got to tell us if you won or not or if he is just an internet bitch he wouldn't last too long out here on the coast at all
ferly nice work i got some video of myself cutting some fir in franklen 100 cubic meters to the stick your fellow falling friend bonze nanaimo bc TIMBER
by the way, great falling work. That shit was intense for a second. Be safe out there, I don't have to tell you that shit is nothing to fuck with. However Skidegate man, well, thats another story
This comment string is awesome! I never thought the neandarthal natives of SKIDegate knew about the internet! I love it! Typical chug-bringing a knife to a gunfight attitude. Talks tough until its go time, then it's "Walk on Home time"
I have a question. Is there any danger to the logger from the splinters shattering off the trunk when the tree is falling? If so what is a safe distance away from any flying wood particles?

You know what I cant wait untill February. I'll put a G note on it i walk all over you. A week after christmas. Tough guy. I will even meet you half way. GOOF!!!
Dude your face doesnt need any work I am sure i couldnt make it look any worse. If you think your tough i live in courtenay, BC, J Pow. Everyone knows me so stop by if your game and we wont be playing B ball. All net baby.
Because the far one was leaning back towards me and if i fell it that way it would have smashed into pieces on an out cropping of rocks. It doesnt look very big but it was about 8.5' in diameter. Much larger than the one that bucked itself.
Sorry you paiute but i fell there and all over the coast bud. You up there have never even seen a doug fir. I have not even seen many of ya worthy to hire, let alone fire. Lol. I'll take you on outside of bogies any day. Mtherfker.
